Hollyscoop is reporting that J-lo is starting to piss off her label Epic Records.

“She costs too much money and doesn’t sell enough,” says a source. “Her last album cover alone cost $60,000 in hair and makeup, lighting, photographers, re-touching, etc. The video budget was in the neighborhood of $300,000.”

“Epic had to eat the cost for that entire performance. From her makeup — which typically costs in the neighborhood of $8,000 per day — to the backup singers, to the rigging, lighting and sound.”

The still unfolding mortgage-related credit crisis has claimed its biggest corporate casualty so far: Merrill Lynch CEO Stan O’Neal.

The announcement Tuesday that O’Neal is retiring immediately came days after the world’s largest brokerage posted a $2.24 billion quarterly loss, its biggest since being founded 93 years ago.

It was not known how much O’Neal would receive as an exit package, though there have been some reports it would be nearly $200 million. He was paid roughly $48 million salary in 2006, and had $160 million in stock and retirement benefits, according to James Reda, founder of compensation consultancy James F. Reda & Associates.

O’Neal is the descendant of a former slave, and grew up in poverty in Alabama before rising to become one of the highest-ranking African-Americans on Wall Street. He worked his way through a Harvard business degree by working at General Motors Corp., and in 1986 joined Merrill as a banker in its junk-bond department.

His elevation to CEO was seen by some as an experiment by the company’s board, most of which have since retired. O’Neal mostly held positions on the client-contact side, which goes against the trading background most of its other CEOs had.

In January, talk-show legend Oprah Winfrey opened up her all-girl leadership academy on tearjerker TV specials, with declarations of finding Africa’s next leader. But over the last few weeks, Oprah has been making more painful trips to Africa, amid allegations of physical and sexual abuse, the Daily Mail reports.

An internal investigation is ongoing concerning a student who reported to having been grabbed by the throat and thrown against the wall by a schoolworker.

The suspected abuser has been removed from the $30.4 million Johannesburg boarding school, where 152 African girls reside.

“I’ve disappointed you. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” Oprah said to the devastated families of the girls in an emergency meeting at the campus, according to the New York Daily News.

Reports poured in from students of sexual abuse, and alleged that school matrons had screamed and sweared at them.

In a statement, the chief executive of the academy, John Samuel, said that the South African police family violence, child protection and sexual offenses unit had been notified of the allegations.

“The inquiry is being conducted in a manner that supports the safe and nurturing environment of the academy, with minimal disruption to campus life. In addition, the academy is providing psychological support and counseling services to our learners.”

I mean, what kind of show is this?” Supersonic said she got fed up, ripped the T-shirt off and threw it on the floor, prompting security to toss her out. Banks’ rep did not return calls.

Beyonce spoke to People Magazine regarding her boyfriend’s return to the mike out of retirement.

Just when he thought he was out, they pull him back in. Or, in the case of Jay-Z, he pulls himself back in, girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles tells PEOPLE.

The 37-year-old hip-hop star’s recent unretirement from hip-hop didn’t shock her too much. “I know when you love music that it’s hard to get away,” Knowles, 26, said recently at the launch of her Samsung B’Phone in New York.

“I’m supposed to be on vacation, but I’ve been in the studio because that’s what I love to do. I don’t feel like it’s my job. It’s a blessing for me to be able to do what I love. That’s how it is for everyone who loves music. I knew it would be difficult for him because it’s a part of our makeup.”

And when you hear the next record he’s currently working on, she says, you’ll know why he cut his retirement short.

“His album is incredible. I will definitely have that in my iPod,” she said. “It’s the best I’ve ever heard from him, so I’m really happy.”

Before kicking off her current world tour, which continues Saturday night in Mumbai, India, Knowles found time for family – in particular, her sister Solange’s son Daniel.

“I just finished babysitting him for a week actually,” she told PEOPLE. “I took him to this dinosaur show, it was like thousands of people, and no one asked me for an autograph! They kind of respected that I was [with family].”

She added: “I didn’t have security. It was just me, my mother and my nephew. It’s rare [to get that space], but it was so much fun.”
