“I thought that i was cool enough in the black world to be able to use that word as a brother to a brother…I’m not. I didn’t really know until 3 or 4 days ago what that (word) meant to black people. Of course I know the story, and I know America’s story but I never realized that that’s like stabbing a black person in the heart. I would never do that to any kind of person. I have always taken pride to the white guy that can talk to the black people, that can refer to them truly as a brother from a different mother.”

Here is a man that had a rough life, doing a rough job, dealing with rough people, sorrounded by rough people, hearing people swear at him and exposed to the under world, What kind of language when your’re slam-ing them to the ground, like pretty please? Don’t compare your office job to his. You’re condemning a guy that knows no better.

Ken Chang he was not using the “N” word while catching a criminal. He was using it in everyday language around his family. He is on tape with his son using the word not while he is doing his job. We haven’t condemned him at all. But don’t make excuses for someone using derogatory offensive racist slurs on tape. And he does know better he even said that he knew better. Watch the video.
