Bishop Thomas Weeks

Bishop Thomas Weeks III has denied Juanita Bynum’s recent account of the trouble and  abuse that supposedly existed in their marriage as she told in Essence Magazine’s December issue. He says her depiction of the troubled marriage is not true and exaggerated and used to vilify his character.

Here is what he had to say….

Anyone who knows the truth about our marriage, knows what is in that magazine is a bunch of conjectures, misstatements, and dramatized events,” Weeks said in a statement released after a press conference at his church Wednesday.

Weeks said the interview made him look like a “villian” and that he is looking forward to being “vindicated” in the court system.

Bynum has accused Weeks of choking, beating and stomping her to the ground during an Aug. 21 attack in an Atlanta hotel parking lot. The pastor discusses the details of the incident in the magazine article.

Weeks has been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple battery in connection with the incident. He later denied the account of abuse.

I look forward to the mountain of evidence that will clear me at the upcoming trial,” Weeks said. “I am extremely disappointed that my wife, who swore to me, before she asked me to marry her, that she would never publicly embarrass me, that she would never let me fail, or see me suffer. I believed her.

I’m at a lost as to why he keeps saying he did not attack her when a doorman pulled him off of her. And if you did nothing why did you hide out for two days, if your innocent you have nothing to hide.
He’s doesn’t owe the public anything but why lie. It’s sad a grown man forget he’s a minister just the fact that he’s a grown man is sad.

I am so sad to what this is really doing to the body of Christ. I understand the severity of the issue at hand but yet wish that for the universal church sake and all those that believe in our God that this would have not been paraded across the nation as it was. Where was the medical confidentiality that is due a person that visits any hospital? Who released the pictures were they released with he consent?

I am praying for you, god help us all!!!

Bishop Weeks is still lying trying to save something that was not even created by him in the first place. The wife he beat down in the parking lot is the same woman who gave him a bigger start. This so call man of god will soon get what he has been looking for. Weeks is a cowart who abuse woman and then lie to cover up. He used Juanita Bynum and now he is trying to kill her image to gain from. God is not please and he will pay dearly. The church should have held him accountable. This is a shame, and I hope they find him guilty as he really is. This so call bishop beat his wife down in the streets and nobody cared. Where are all the true christians are, now it is time for us to pull togather. Bishop Weeks is a liar and still aloud to preach at Dr. Bynum’s church were he used all her money at.

*There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
