Jay Z and Beyonce celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday (Dec. 4th) in Paris. After a surprise concert with Kanye West on Sunday in West England Jay flew to Paris and quietly checked into the Hotel Meurice.
Beyonce flew in the next day on a commercial flight after her performance at “Movies Rock” in Hollywood. The two spent a leisurely day inside their hotel suite (which overlooks the famed Tuileries garden) and, at one point, Knowles hit the hotel’s luxurious spa. As evening fell, the couple took a Maybach limo for a romantic drive around the City of Light before settling down to an intimate dinner upstairs at popular restaurant L’Avenue.
Afterward, they pulled up for the late show at the Crazy Horse cabaret, where they sipped champagne and watched the cast run through the club’s new “Forever Crazy” revue.

Beyonce looks so regal. A class act. They definitely are enjoying all of the many luxuries that their $300 some million between the two of them can afford. Which is dope!

The stars came out to honor Stephen Hill a major executive at BET. We see Ashanti loves yellow. That must be her favorite color.

Here we see Ashanti with L.A. Reid, Diddy with Kevin Liles still love this guy’s book “Make It Happen” very positive and inspirational. The other guy Stephen Hill the man who was honored.

We see Fat Joe in a suit. Mary looking foxy in her mink. Good to see Birdman after being arrested last week for supposedly having a pound of marijuana and the best money laundering jeweler out. Wasn’t he sentenced to like 5 years? Oh well.

Chris Stokes, LaLa (is she still engaged to Carmello Anthony?) Solange and Marques Houston photographed at the Kitson and Christopher Brian Resort Collection Launch Event last night in L.A. Solange loves that hair do and just refuses to allow a stylist to do anything else we assume. But she looks nice.

Russell Simmon’s girls were out and about, Shar Jackson was in the place.

Lebron James has topped Forbes list of the 20 richest superstars under age 25.
Lebron banked $27 million in between June 2006 and June 2007 to solidify his top ranking. He is on pace to earn more than last year’s #1 money man in the NBA, Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant who made $32.9 million. Lebron just signed a lucrative 4-year $60 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers that will pay him $13 million this year. It’s a great thing to see these young athletes earn such great livings since the leagues and franchises not to mention the endorsement companies make bundles off of marketing them. Just wish Magic, Larry, and Michael would have been earning these types of lucrative salaries.

22 year old Reggie Bush running back for the New Orleans Saints, grabbed the #2 spot with $24 million last year. Tennis ace Maria Sharapova landed at #3 with $23 million, and only $3.8 million of that was from winnings and that makes Sharapova the world’s highest paid female athlete. How much longer can Kobe Bryant maintain his role as the best player on the planet? He is now 29 years old and in his 12th season. Yes he won 3 consecutive championships and was fortunate enough to do it at such a young age (ages 21-23). But it is now clear that he is a veteran in the league with a not so good team. The question is can he continue to carry this team and in the process put the kind of wear and tear on his body this late in his career?
Will he win another championship? With San Antonio, and Phoenix on the west it is doubtful. But anything is possible. That is one of the reasons Kobe has demanded some talent around him or be traded to a team that can compete because he knows that the time clock is ticking.
Here is what certain people including Kobe had to say about that…
On the possibility that he might only remain dominant for 3 more years Kobe says…
“You’re telling me I only have two or three years left…Tell me that. I want you to.”
Jason Kidd says…
“Kobe’s won three championships in a row from October to June, and that’s a lot of basketball at a high level. So there is a lot of mileage.”
“But seeing him this summer and the way he takes care of himself, he’s always preparing himself to play and be the focal point.”
Here’s what a team executive said…
“Kobe is such a workout fiend, and there’s nobody in our league as single-minded as he is,” this team president said. “With his toughness and his mind-set, I would not put it past him to find a way to keep dominating for a long time.”
Doc Rivers…
“Kobe could play at this level for a long time,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “Not only has he become a great jump shooter, but he’s also developed that fadeaway [from the] post that Jordan developed. But it obviously depends on what’s around him. If he has to carry the load, then that shortens his longevity.”
“I just wish more people would celebrate Kobe, I really do,” Rivers said. “Of all the guys in our league, that bugs me more than anything, that it just seems like we spend so much time trying to tear him apart and I think we’re missing how great he is. And I think it’s a shame.”

Here’s what Will Smith had to say about his secret to success….
“While the other guy’s sleeping, I’m working. While the other guy’s eating, I’m working. While the other guy’s making love, I mean, I’m making love, too, but I’m working really hard at it!”

Coronors in West Hollywood have told TMZ that Pimp C might have died of natural causes.
Via TMZ:
“Capt. Ed Winter of the L.A. County Coroner’s office tells TMZ that it appears as though rapper Pimp C died of natural causes in a Hollywood hotel room today.
We’re told no drug paraphernalia or other drugs were found in the room. The rapper, we’ve learned, was found fully clothed on top of the bed. He did not seem to have fallen or injured himself and he was positioned on his side.
Winter said it did not appear that there was anyone else in the room at the time of his death. An autopsy will be performed and toxicology test results will be available in six to eight weeks.
Pimp C, whose real name is Chad Butler, was one half of the Houston rap duo UGK.”
We will continue to provide more details as they become available. Our thoughts and prayers rest with Pimp C’s family and friends.
