Scottie Pippen wants to coach the Bulls

NBA great Scottie Pippen has come out and said that he would like to further his basketball career as a coach of the Chicago Bulls the team that he and Michael Jordan won 6 Championships with in 91,92,93,96,97,98. He is definitely one of the greatest small forwards to ever play this game. He is one of the best one on one defenders that this league has ever seen. So what better position to return to than head coaching spot with the franchise that you helped win so many banners for? Here’s what Scottie had to say concerning his lack of experience as a coach and why he would be a great fit for the position.
“What’s my disadvantage? No NBA coaching experience? [Scott] Skiles’ record with the Bulls wasn’t that great. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do what you’ve done your whole life. I’ve played basketball, run teams and won.
They didn’t put me at point guard because I could dribble good. They put me there because I could run a team. I wasn’t the best dribbler, the best shooter. I wasn’t a point guard. But I knew how to run a team.”
We believe it would be an interesting fit for Scottie. Now just because he was a great player doesn’t mean he would be a great coach but it’s definitely worth a try.
