Game wants $44,000 back that the LAPD confiscated of his and has refused to release back to him.
Via TMZ:
We’ve learned an L.A. County Superior Court judge may hold the LAPD in contempt of court over a hostage situation — as in holding a famous rapper’s loot hostage. Show me the money!
Rapper The Game is currently facing trial on weapons charges. His lawyer claims the LAPD confiscated $44,000 of The Game’s money during the criminal investigation and has wrongfully refused to release it.
The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was in court today and was told he will face the music on Feb. 4 — that’s when his trial begins. The judge also set a hearing for Jan. 22, when he’ll decide if the LAPD should be held in contempt of court for withholding the $44 grand.
The LAPD would not comment because of the ongoing investigation.

Tyra Banks covers the new Essence Magazine and had some interesting things to say.
About Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Gabrielle Union….
“Sanaa, Nia, and Gabrielle are strong, powerful women and they are all very successful in our indusry. So it really upset me to read about how the money they make doesn’t match up.” And she plans to put more African American women behind the screen especially since she inked a multi million dollar deal with Warner Bros to develop shows.
Why she works non stop…..
“People look at me and say, ‘Oh, Tyra, you’re doing such great things! Girl, you a mogul.’ I don’t think they understand that it’s almost as if I don’t have a choice; what motivates me a little bit is fear.”
Her personal life…
“I’d go to work and women would be crying in my arms on the talk show, but then I’d go home and put my key in my door and… nothing: no friends, no husband, no children. I feel so full when I’m at work but so empty when I come home.”
On rumors that she moved her show to New York because of a man….
“I’m very insulted by that rumor, I employ a lot of people; their livelihoods rest on my shows. The move to New York was a decision I made with my manager. It was not about a man.”
On why she created ‘Top Model’
“I cast girls who have urban accents and bamboo earrings because the fashion industry ignores them. When those girls walk into a modeling agency with all the goods but too many accessories, the agencies don’t say, ‘Let me cut your hair, put on this plain black dress.’ They send them away. My goal is to show the industry that you don’t have to be from Africa and be exotic to be beautiful. You can be a ’round-the-way girl from Brooklyn or Arkansas.”

Remember at one point Billy Dee Williams was the status for male beauty??? Then Denzel came along and ended that run and for a second we thought Morris Chestnut would take the crown but given the fact that he can’t act to save his let alone anyone else’s life his luster is quickly fading. Anyway Billy Dee Williams was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award on Monday at the Hoboken International Film Festival.

James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, Debbie Allen, Terrence Howard and Anika Noni Rose all attended the photo call in New York yesterday for their Broadway play “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”. It’s good to see ‘Dream Girls’ Anika Noni Rose getting some more work we hope her career takes off. And Phylicia Rashad is one of our favorite’s of all time! She is just so beautiful. We would have liked to see her in other major TV or film projects but it’s cool because we will always have Claire Huxtable to reflect on. And Debbie Allen is the girl also especially what she did with ‘A Different World’.

Via FoxSports:
During their usual post-round banter as they wrapped up Day 2 at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, Tilghman and cohort Nick Faldo discussed young players who could possibly challenge Tiger. Faldo, ever the joker, said perhaps the youngsters should “gang up (on Tiger) for a while.” The pair laughed a bit before Tilghman responded by saying, “Lynch him in a back alley.” The pair chuckled awkwardly before moving on.
The Golf Channel said it received a limited number of complaints regarding the comment.
Tilghman, realizing her faux pas, explained her comments during the final-round broadcast despite the possibility she could have swept the incident under the mat.
“I’ve reached out to Tiger to make an apology, and I’ve done the same with our viewers,” Tilghman said.
“I can assure you that there was never any intention to offend anyone. I’m sorry for any misunderstanding.”
Attempts to reach Woods or his agent, Mark Steinberg of IMG, were unsuccessful. A Golf Channel spokesman said no disciplinary action is planned, “other than the mistake she made is regrettable and an extreme learning experience for her.”
Mediaoutrage- Really??? So their weren’t any other words that came to her mind before getting to ‘Lynch’ which is one of the most racially sensitive and inflammatory words in this language to African Americans. It just makes us think like why take it there with such word that you know holds such negative history.

Golf Channel anchor woman Kelly Tilghman who is a former Blue Devil golfer, put more than her foot in her mouth last Friday at Duke’s telecast of the Mercedes Benz Championship, the PGA tour’s inaugural event of the season, when she said on air “golf’s young player’s should lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley“.
She was allowed to continue commentating which is wild to say the least. We do not know the context of how she was using such an inflammatory remark but will say that it doesn’t matter because you should be smart enough to know what is very offensive to an entire group of people especially if you get paid to speak for a living. Wow with these kind of blatantly racist remarks Rev. Al Sharpton will never be out of a job. She should definitely lose her job for making such a derogatory remark.
