Oprah Winfrey:Im voting for Barack Obama because he's brilliant!

Posted by Media Outrage on 5th February 2008

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh53UF1xdGg&rel=1&border=1]

Wow this is one of the most passionate political speeches that we have heard recently. Has anyone ever told Oprah that she also could have been a preacher??? And we mean that in a great way for all you cynics out there. She responded to the ridiculous and if you ask us extremely racist backlash that she received from some of her women viewers that accused her of being a traitor to her gender by endorsing Barack Obama instead of Hillary Clinton. We love it Oprah you do you! That’s an intelligent woman right there. Listen to her. We snatched this video from SandraRose. Great post Sandra.

Brandy's mother suing Kim Kardashian

Posted by Media Outrage on 5th February 2008

Brandy

Brandy’s mother has filed a lawsuit against Kim Kardashian for allegedly running up an unauthorized $120,000 credit card bill.

Via People:

R&B singer Brandy Norwood’s mother filed a lawsuit Monday against Kim Kardashian accusing her of running up more than $120,000 in credit card charges without permission.

The suit, which also names Kardashian’s siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., alleges they ran up the charges on the mother’s card in 2006 and 2007. It seeks the return of the money plus 10 percent interest.

Kim Kardashian denied the allegations, telling PEOPLE she and her siblings had Norwood’s permission to make the purchases.

“We have her signature on all items,” Kardashian says.

In the lawsuit, Norwood’s mother, Sonja Norwood, who is also her manager, alleges Kim Kardashian had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on the Norwood American Express card in Kim’s then-capacity as a stylist for Brandy (Brandy’s brother, Ray J, also appeared in the infamous sex tape with Kim).

But later, Kardashian, now starring in the E! reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, made unauthorized purchases and passed on Norwood’s card number to her siblings, who also then made unauthorized purchases, including for items in two Kardashian family-owned clothing stores, Dash and Smooch, for a total of $120,636.

Mystery man gives couple $100,000

Posted by Media Outrage on 5th February 2008

A young married couple in Iowa was at a bar/restaurant when an older man walked over to their table and asked if they had kids in which they responded “yes”. He then proceeded to ask them how much money they would want and he told them to write the number down on a blank check, so they jokingly wrote in $100,000. He told them he was good for it and to go to the bank and cash it when they got a chance, but their were only 3 conditions.

1. He remain anonymous.

2. They buy a house.

3. They name their next child after him.

They definitely should have asked for like $20million. Very interesting story showing that people still have the ability to do good and make someone’s day. Oprah does it all of the time but besides her. That’s what’s up so what are you going to do today to make someone else’s day brighter???

Watch it for yourself here.

Giants Patriots Super Bowl 2nd most watched tv show ever!

Posted by Media Outrage on 5th February 2008

New York Giants

Great stuff! This is exactly why athletes deserve to earn the millions that they make, because Fox and other tv networks charge millions for advertising spots and once again it’s all just entertainment. We mean someone has a terrible week at work and the way that they let their hair down is by watching a game whether it be Baseball, Basketball, or Football. Anyway back to the real reason for this, yesterday’s record breaking Super Bowl ratings.

The New York Giants thrilling last minute win over the unbeaten Patriots was the most watched Super Bowl ever with a whopping 97.5 million viewers. It was the second most watched tv show episode in American history! Can you guess which show still holds the #1 spot with more than 100million viewers for a single episode??? Ok we’ll tell you the M-A-S-H finale in 1986 which drew an astounding 106 million viewers! We know crazy right? For which reason? For us because we hated that show, the music, and never watched it.

Interesting fact: 81% of TV sets were tuned into the Super Bowl last night in Boston, and %67 of sets in NY. The audience peaked between 9:30 and 10 p.m. ET — the fourth quarter — with 105.7 million people watching, Nielsen said.

How much did Fox charge for a 30 second spot commercial???

$2.7million. And that my friends is what makes the economy move and why athletes deserve to earn the huge paychecks that they make, oh and also because the owners make a killing from seats, jersey sales, alcohol, and more off of the marketing of their players. So hats off to Plaxico Burress and Eli Manning for having a flare for the dramatic.
