Aretha Franklin speaks out against Beyonce

In light of the recent highly anticipated performance between Beyonce and Tina Turner in which Beyonce respectfully referred to Turner as “The Queen”, Aretha Franklin has come out and addressed that statement that she feels was disrespectful.
Aretha’s response……
“I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyoncé, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammy’s and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyoncé anyway.”
We believe Beyonce was just probably being respectful that’s all not intentionally conspiring with the Grammy writers to SYSTEMATICALLY DESTROY YOUR CAREER and TAKE YOU DOWN. LOL

Aretha, get over yourself! you really aren’t the “queen” anyway, I love Tina Turner, at almost 70 years of age, she was still dancing with four inch pumps and still killing it…Aretha look like a huge grape and if she walked from side to side on the stage, she probably would have fallen over dead!!! Big ups to Beyonce and Tina cause they did their THANG!!!

First of all Yasmine T, I really don’t care whether you think I’m disrespectful or not, not once did I mention that I love Beyonce and her “ugly ass” boyfriend and put them on a pedistol! You’re obviously hatin. She has talent that can’t be denied, but the comment had nothing to do with Beyonce being great, it had something to do with Tina Turner, please learn how to interpret what you read. So let me be a little more clear, Tina vs. Aretha, there is no comparison, so what Aretha can hit the highest note, I respect Tina much more, which is clearly my opinion and no has to give a damn but me. All I was trying to say was Aretha is acting like no one else can be a damn queen but her, and she clearly made that up, so don’t come at me on here. Think what you want, this a free country sweetie!

Beyonce did not say Queen of soul. Tina is universally accepted as the Queen of Rock. For the Record Aretha’s voice isn’t half as good as it use to be. After the death of her father she was smoking 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day. But I dygress. Aretha should be letting other singers from her era, get some accolades. JUST LETTING YASMINE know TINA WAS BEFORE ARETHA, Tina having made her first hit record in 1960 (“A fool in love” pop#27 R&B#2) and Aretha in 1961 (“Today I sing the blues R&B #10). Tina is amazing and so is Aretha. The thing is Aretha’s ego is as big as she is. She assumes that all accolades are soley hers, and here’s the news flash, they’re not. The whole world doesn’t revolve around your voice Re. There are many singers who are equally as good as you are, Gladys, Patti, Chaka and indeed the great Queen of Rock & Roll and Gutbuckett R&B, the talented ms. Tina Turner. Perhaps Aretha should have been more concerned with getting a dress with sleeves to hide that celulite on her arms than worrying about Beyonce idolizing Tina Turner. Get over yourself Aretha, maybe your ego should have gastric bypass surgery, as it seems to as big or bigger than you.

2nd of all Beyonce wouldn’t know a queen if it bit her dumbA@@ on the head. She specifically invited Tina to sing to make her self look good because she knows that no one but Kelly and Matthew wanted to hear her sing. Aretha is and always will be capable of taking up for her self as for Big Bee , pappy had to do the talking for her. SHe said the only thing that her counrty bumkins voice knew to say. I wander why some of you think this cocky mammy dressing, ranch talking fuzzy wuzzy was a pig is so important. She can’t even talk and hold anyone attention on camera, unless she is half dressed with 56 inches of horse mane glued to her head.
