The reason why the Lakers finally have a chance

Laker Point Guard Derek Fisher hosted a private fund raiser with Versace last night in Beverly Hills. Coach Phil Jackson and girlfriend Jeanie Buss also attended. Derek Fisher’s lovely wife Candice was also in the house. Derek’s fashion sense is definitely on point.

With the NBA Playoffs just a few games away and the Lakers vying for the #1spot in the Western Conference, we must say that Derek Fisher’s return back to the team this summer from the Utah Jazz was a pivotal move in their surprising success thus far.
Everyone knows that Kobe Bryant is the life force of the Lakers, but this season has seen Center Andrew Bynum step up and become more active on offense and defense making them a force against good rebounding teams. The addition of Memphis Grizzlies Power Forward Pau Gasol has been the major improvement, as it provides the Lakers with a valid consistent #2 scoring option behind Kobe Bryant and a good low post presence which allows Lamar Odom to flourish as the #3 option because we all know that he was really struggling as the #2. Last but not least the reason that the Lakers have returned to the top of the Western Conference and are looking at a top 3 seeding position is the return of Derek Fisher at point guard. Fisher provides good solid defense on opposing point guards such as Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, and Chris Paul. He gives them good 3 point shooting when Kobe gets double teamed and possesses a high basketball I.Q. So the playoffs will be extremely interesting and exciting because the NBA hasn’t seen a Western or Eastern Conference this competitive in a long time.
Of course Kobe will still be the go to man but having supporting players like Sasha Vuchachek (who will shoot your eyes out), Jordan Farmar (who will shoot your eyes out), Luke Walton (who does the little things and is a good passer within the Triangle Offense), Lamar Odom (who is finally playing well), Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol (who is the difference), and Andrew Bynum (who might return by playoff time) the Lakers have a great chance to come out of the West.
