Ashanti addresses the rumors

Ashanti denied internet rumors that emerged yesterday saying that her latest song ‘Way That I Love You’ was directed at supposed boyfriend Nelly. Here’s what she had to say….

Is sexy songstress Ashanti’s new video for her song “Way That I Love You” a kiss-off to rumored boyfriend Nelly? After all, in the video, a knife-wielding Ashanti gets sweet revenge on a cheating ex.
Ashanti says, “It’s not!” She explains, “I wrote that record last summer … The song is just about real life. It’s for every woman who has gone through it.”
But that doesn’t mean the songbird hasn’t experienced the heartache of a good relationship gone bad due to infidelity. “Definitely,” says Ashanti, who turns to Mary J. Blige’s “Not Gonna Cry” to help her through breakups. “It’s a rude awakening when you get used to being happy, but it’s a part of life. I didn’t kill the person!”
Some of the song’s lyrics do ring true, though. “Of course I’ve snooped! Before [sidekicks] came out, I was snooping through regular cell phones, Skytel, everything! Whatever he had out, I was all in it!”
And as for the current status of her relationship with Nelly? “We’re really, really good friends.”
Mediaoutrage- Yea Ashanti looks like she’d be all up in her man’s PDA or iPhone reading every text message ever sent and received as soon as he got off the couch to go to the bathroom. Word to all men grab your phone even if you have to turn your head and sneeze because these chicks are slicker than coach Pat Reilly’s hairline.

M.O. ya’ll know you a mess. “…slicker than coach Pat Reilly’s hairline”. To funny, but what ya’ll want us to do. Cause you know that ya’ll guys can’t hold onto that lie forever. You begin to slip and loose focus and the next thing you know you caught. You always get caught somehow or someway. So thats why we got to be all up and in betwix the PDAs and iPhones and whatnot. How else we supposed to find out you doing dirt? Women’s intuition can only tell us so much, LOL.
