Raven Symone refuses to change

Posted by Media Outrage on April 18th, 2008

Raven Symone covers the latest issue of Jet Magazine. The young superstar actress who’s net worth is somewhere in the $400million range had this to say about staying true to herself…..

”I have to stay true to who I am’, says Disney star Raven-Symoné, 22, regarding her new self-titled CD, which is slated for release April 29. ‘I am not going to sing about sex, drugs and violence, that’s just not who I am’, she continues. As she prepares for the CD’s release and a 55-city Pajama Party concert tour, the confident and talented entertainer hopes this project will fill a void in today’s music. We need some music that will open people’s minds up and give them other things to think about other than the same things we have been giving them for a while. Maybe my album can do that.’

While the 5-foot-2-inch singer-actress stays true to her music, she’s also staying true to her image by being comfortable with her size. ‘When I look in the mirror and see how voluptuously fabulous I am, I can’t even worry about it. I am just fabulous.’”

Mediaoutrage- That’s dope that she refuses to lower her standards and change her message for the almighty dollar. Then again you let a few albums flop, and all of her other brands go straight to hell, and she’ll be the newest member of G-Unit tomorrow….singing “fuck them hoes, cause b*tches ain’t sh*t but hoes and tricks, I’m Raven Symone B*tch!”

I love that she is staying true to who she is in every way including physcially. Ya’ll know in he industry you got to be thin with a grin and light skin.

Ya’ll know I was gonna jump in this. With my Beyond Size 6 self (shameless plug). To many girls out there bleaching their skin, taking pills and vomiting them back up all in the name of what society says is beautiful. I say to hell with that. Now am I advocating obesity, no, but what I am saying is that you shouldn’t conform to somebody else’s standard. Be happy with yourself and if you’re not, work to find that happiness. Be it weight loss or not.

I have four young daughters ranging from 2yrs.- 13 that love her. And all that she has been involved in. My oldest daugther seems to be worried sometimes about her weight. But is glad to see that raven has not changed her self for anybody.
