50 denies the rumors

Posted by Media Outrage on May 19, 2008

Contrary to internet rumors that emerged this week saying that 50 was negotiating a lucrative $300million dollar deal with News Corp (which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, and also owns Myspace) that would buy out his brand and bring him and his company to Myspace records, 50’s management Violator Records denied the rumors to AllHipHop. The deal would have also given News Corp control over 50’s past and present tours, books, film projects, and website Thisis50.com.

The reports are “rumors,” 50 Cent’s manager Chris Lighty confirmed with AllHipHop.com.

Mediaoutrage- Despite the fact that he’s not going to get rained on by this $300 million it doesn’t matter because after Vitamin Water made it monsoon on this cat’s stacks he really is good for the rest of his life, barring he should just pull a Michael Jackson and gallop through his fortune.

But the min the white man puts some cash in front them..SOOOOOOOOOLLD!! In my opinion %0 is a much better business mane the Jay and Diddy, Won’t be long before his net worth surpasses Jay-Z’s

Hi everyone and M.O. this is my first time leaving a comment but i like the site and the community vibe you have flowing here. Lio i kind of agree with you that a lot of our business moguls do not hold on to their babies (businesses) long enough and as soon as the man comes waiving that check book they put their little parachutes on and hop out the plane leaving the other co-workers that helped establish the company blowing in the wind under new management that cares nothing about the brand or the initial message of the brand case in point BET and Robert Johnson.

    So true Angelique.

Oprah needs to write a business book to show others how to run your business. She’s the only black person who has complete control over her company. Wall Street keeps knocking at her door so that her company goes public. She ‘ll be worth at least $10 billions, if her company star trading on the stock market. But she will lose control of it, and she knows she worked waaaaay too damn hard to give it away just for a few billions (…a few billions is nothing to sneeze at..but you get my point)

P.S. AFTER MAKING SOME RESEARCH..50 CENT IS NOW THE RICHEST NEGRO IN HIP HOP AND PROBABLY THE 2ND RICHEST IN MUSIC…..NET WORTH : $445 MILLIONS …$KA CHING$
