Ashanti hit Time Square in Manhattan yesterday for promotion of her newest album The Declaration which hit stores Tuesday. First she hit up Planet Hollywood for a hand print ceremony, and then the Virgin Mega store where she signed autographs and capped it off with a performance in some nice tight white shorts. She’s looking sexy as usual. Now this is to Yasmine T. lol i aint startin luv but check this, Ashanti and Beyonce are both fine women but there is only one of them that is extremely talented. Beyonce’s voice is melodic Ashanti’s isnt as much as i like her she just doesn’t possess the vocal skills. You agree right?

She sings nice hits…her voice is mediocre but it’s better than Rihanna’s.
The record company ain’t gonna pay for her to get singing lessons, cause her single is doing okay! People will still buy her album, regardless of how she sings…look at the other broads on the radio that can’t sing or dance to save their life and their songs are instant hits! It’s about the BOOTY!

LOL @ Lee. Ashanti sings ok, we all know she can’t hit those high notes like Bey, Jennifer Hud, and the list could go on forever. But I think Ashanti would be cool, a friend of mine did some work for her album, she said was mad cool in the studio, got them whatever food they wanted, and they sat around and chilled, more than I can say about Yasmine’s situation with Bey and mine with A. Keys. She left with a positive view of this chick. She from New York, of course she was gonna get crazy with that dude on that show Punk’d, but to me, that’s keeping it real, I would have probably reacted similarly, that was the point of that show, to put you in a hot situation and see how you would react, and errrrbody know they would have done the same thing!!

Sweetthang be telling the truth praise jesus lol. Her album is going to sell fine just because of who she is. Yes her voice is not anything to write home about but its ok to listen to. Its really the beats and hook anyway that catch you look at that souljah boy sh*t. SMH at this stupid 3rd grade music. Yes and her looks will push her over. Oh and Udamnright i will keep it real yes Beyonce is 20times a better singer than Ashanti. I agree see lol

I have to say even though I’m not a fan of Ashanti, cause y’all know what I think of her voice (speaking and singing) I have to say I am truly digging that song “The Way That I love You”. It might be because I saw the video and that fineness from “Medea Goes to Jail” in it. I dunno, but I like the song. Find myself singing more often than not when it comes on the radio. And I have to agree she is pulling off sexy well. I ain’t mad at her.

I completely agree..she’s looking better and better these days…There’s no doubt her voice isn’t the best out there but hey…a lot of these performers can’t sing for shit and they’re selling millions..so more power to her!
