Queen Latifah’s lawyers have filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court against a production company involved in the film The Perfect Holiday, alleging that she has not been paid yet. Her lawyers claim the California-based company Perfect Christmas Productions, was guilty of breach of contract and owe Latifah $275,000. The lawsuit also states that they believe the production company was paid several million dollars by different sources of the film. The film which was released in December grossed more than 5million.
Damn its really crazy when folk try and hold off on your sh*t, like you work for free or something. SMH.

Oh hell naw…Queen should have hired me to collect her money! I would asked for 1/3 up front before filming began!! Then I’d been at the studio after filming was wrapped asking for the rest of it!

How are actors and actresses now getting ripped off? I would think Hollywood was way more professional then the shysty music industry where folk cut albums that sell 4million times and then get paid only $75,000

it’s a holy mess, that’s why more and more people are starting their own labels and film production companies, you cut out the middle man getting all of your bread!

I think alot of people do not take the time to learn about the type of business they are in; my lil’ sister is an aspiring model.
Recently, I told her it was important to read books on the business side of modeling! If that is the area you want to work in it is highly significant for you to acquire all the knowledge your mind can retain to understand and comprehend the business.
Even in my line of business as an Program Manager, I have a contract with my company that is evaluated and modified annually. Therefore, I know how much money I am receiving if I don’t meet certain requirements within my contract!

The biggest shame is the $275 grand thet she is getting paid for that movie. I just looked at this other article where Reese Witherspoon are getting between, 15 and 20 mil for a film. Latifah deserves more respect than that. Hell didnt she win an award for that movie Chicago? They rippin the Queen off. I think this ish is a K-O-N spiracy . If its not a K-O-N spiracy its still a damn shame. Good Evening.
