Usher and his son Usher Raymond V cover the August issue of Essence. Here’s what Usher had to say about his family….

On being a father [Usher] says, “He’s gonna admire me, he’s gonna look up to me. He’s gonna say, ‘I wanna be’ or he should say – ‘I wanna be like my father.”
When asked about his marriage to Tameka, Usher responds, “They think that it was forced. I’ve heard a lot of comments like, “Oh, she trapped him.” “He got a baby by her, and then she’s married and she’s set for life.No. She wasn’t pregnant when I asked her to marry me. There’s some sort of huge conspiracy over this, the fact that I made these choices in my life. No I grew older. As a man, I have to take responsibility and take a hold of my life. I’m accountable for what happens to my life now.”
Mediaoutrage- Usher sounds like he is defending his choice to marry Tameka which shouldn’t be. Let folk speculate and criticize all day because at the end of the day you married her and love her so who cares what we or anyone else thinks.

Who is Usher trying to convince, us or himself. If he has to explain that hard his reasonings for marrying Tameka, something is amiss. He is trying to hard to make folk believe that his marriage is true.

Agreed! He don’t love that woman. I still believe she has or had some type of black mail material on him. Like maybe some homo sexual tape like superhead claims she saw. who knows but it just doesn’t make sense to keep defending your love.

Why is still explaining why he married her?! Do we really give a f&ck? No, hell if married Diddy I wouldn’t care…it’s about his music and career! What happenned to his creativity?! I guess balancing fatherhood, a marriage and being a celebrity is something he is still juggling!

I am so over Usher and his marital bliss…I have been married for 8 years myself and I have never felt the need to confess my love to anyone other than my spouse…either it is or it isn’t, plain and simple. He needs to stop talking about his marriage and stop responding to all the questions and comments. When a person constantly explains the situation over and over again they usually are trying to convince themselves and find justification for what they did!
At the end of the day who really cares!

Who does he think he’s fooling..not that anyone gives a flying hoot..but really though…if you’re constantly explaining yourself to the public as to why you chose to marry this woman..then you obviously aren’t too sure about the relationship yourself..quit it already..ya had a kid…raise it..stick to making more music instead of trying to convince us you’re truly in love with this creature.

I think this nucca is really gay and he is afraid to step out the dang closet, so he married Tameka to cover his double life up! That’s why he keeps bringing up the fact that he is so happy with his marriage…whatever I give it less than 5 years!

I think yall hit the nail on the head…….Usher is gay. Therfore I change my opinion on his love for his wife. I think Usher does love him. Tomeka was Tommy before the operation. Its official Usher is realy in love with his “life partner” Tomeka, formaly known as Tommy.
