Kanye leaving the crib

Posted by Media Outrage on July 18, 2008

Kanye West was spotted leaving his West Village apartment in NY yesterday. It is said that Kanyeeze will perform at the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver to support the Presidential nomination of Sen. Barack Obama. That’s a good look for Kanye being that he has very strong political views.

Why does he wear the Kool Moe Dee shades all the time? Im sick of this 80’s retro fashion.

  2. Yasmine T. Says:

    Kanye irks me

  3. beach chick Says:

Let’s pray he does not state on national television…”Barack Obama doesn’t care about white people”…like he did during that telethon with Mike Meyers….

  4. Ms. E Says:

We all know Kanye will say something ignorant on tv! I think he loves to start drama esp. when it comes to politics!

  5. Udamnright Says:

Yo that was funny Beach Chick LOL “Let’s pray he does not state on national television…”Barack Obama doesn’t care about white people”…like he did during that telethon with Mike Meyers….”

I luv Kanye..he looks very nice in that picture.

Id rather deal with Kanye’s arrogant ass then a plethora of talentless rappers out there.

Hes real to me..yeah hes a drama king..but he states how he feels regardless of the backlash.

1st of all i don’t want any Rappers,Comedian to be part of the democratic convention..FUCK THAT. Stay in the crowd or something, pick up a damn sign. 2nd, where the hell Kanye was going that day with that big ass back pack ??? look like a damn astronaut

  8. 1coolazzchic Says:

y not lio? because of their profession they can’t support the party? they can’t have strong political views? im really not getting your stand on that. can u elaborate?

  9. Lio Says:

Kanye is smart successful guy, no doubt about it. If he’s going to perform ONLY, that’s good, but don’t let the guy do a speech or something. Obama had to deal with his pastor, Rev.Jesse Jackson, Bernie Mac, I don’t to see another celebrity messed up thing for OBAMA. Maybe is just me, but the more celebrities endorsement a candidate gets, chances are that candidate will lose. Look what happen in 2004, with that VOTE OR DIE B.S. Some ppl might say that was to encourage the youth in America to vote, but that was definitely a democrat party strategy to have John Kerry has President. And it failed miserably. WE ARE SO CLOSE PPL. I WANT TO SEE A BLACK PRESIDENT. The self esteem of color people around the world will be ridiculous, WHEN he wins.

I agree and disagree with Lio.

You’ve made some valid points, however, I also feel that these raps stars also can contribute with getting the message out to our youth. Lets face it entertainers(rappers, singers, actos, etc) have more of a influence on the younger generation then any political figure out.

With that being said, majority of these rappers have these kids outlook blurry with their main focus being money, cars, and girls…y not add a postive factor such as voting??
