It’s time for you to let us know who you think the bigger celebrity is. Will Smith and Jay-Z are both industry giants and have accomplished more than most celebrities ever dream of. Both banked a whopping amount of chedda last year. But forget the accolades and money for a moment and let us know which one you think is the bigger celebrity. Yes who’s more famous worldwide? Jay-Z or Will Smith and why.

Yea im with yall. I don’t know who’s more famous. Jay has 11 albums and has done plenty of world tours and is just a really famous dude but Will has like 100 block busters. I don;t know

Scenario:
If Jay and Will were walking down the street without their wives…without their entourages…in nondiscript clothing…
9 times out of 10 Will would be recognized by the mass populous.
Boils down to this:
Will has a greater crossover appeal…an 80 year old non-ethnic person would know Will Smith.
Need I say more…?

I don’t know Rocksee they are both huge. Jay is a very recognizable cat. 11 or 12 albums. Concerts for over a decade all over the globe. Videos. Roca-Wear. I just don’t know. This is a good one though.

@ Rocksee: its close because its still Will Smith. Because 75 percent of the world has seen a Will Smith movie. If you, for some reason have never been to the movies you have seen the Fresh Prince. But some people just dont do R&B. But she did do that dumb ass part on that movie with austi powers. But I still think its will.

Will Smith is more recognized by ALL. Even though Jay is big over in Europe, Will has the appeal in two arenas, acting and music. T.V, movies, albums and awards.
You will see Will and his family with the more “influential” people (whatever that means, lol). Jay knows folk but he not tight with them like Will.

I think Will Smith is the bigger celebrity. But Jay has been embraced in that high society. But I agree with Monica because of the two arenas and not to mention the countless blockbusters, he’s definitely bigger than Jay.

WILL SMITH. Anyone who said Jay z must be joking. 8 consecutive movies that grossed over $100 million. Jay is no where near his fame level.
