Barack talks to Ebony

Posted by Media Outrage on September 10, 2008

In the October issue of Ebony they sat down with Barack Obama and asked him just a few questions.

Ebony: Do you realize how much hope people of color are placing on you?

Obama: It’s gratifying to see people drawing inspiration from my campaign. Blacks in countries like France and Germany have their own struggles. If they see what I’m doing as a part of a broader awakening, and setting a good image that helps them achieve their hopes and dreams, then I think that’s a great thing.

Ebony: Do you understand the emotion? There were people who were crying.

Obama: It’s hard for me to step out of myself to sort of appreciate what my effect is on other people.

Ebony: Does it place a tremendous responsibility on you?

Obama: I wouldn’t be running if I didn’t think that I would have an impact. And hopefully that impact will be positive.

    “He moves the blood in my body I believe in him so much!!!”

    @everyone else

    Vote McCain!!! Obama is all hype people. Wake up! lol.

  11. Dickwell Thrust Says:

    McCain wont be alive after his first term! His stewardess will be president! Do you want a Moose Hunting redneck whose claim to politics is governing a state the size of brooklyn?!?!?

    FUCK McCAIN 08

  12. Jan Says:

    @DT

    “McCain wont be alive after his first term!”

    You should put that crystal ball to better use. Be it Vegas, the stock market or your local state lottery.

    “Do you want a Moose Hunting redneck whose claim to politics is governing a state the size of brooklyn”

    Youre statement is incorrect

    1) Alaska has a much smaller population than Brooklyn.

    2) Alaska is much larger than Brooklyn, size wise.

    Anyway that’s neither here or there. I’ll take my chances with McCain staying alive rather than give a vote to someone who talks nonsense.

  13. cupcakestl Says:

    hell nall not it might be High Blood Pressure

    that is a good one Jane gotta give it to you on that one.
