Travis Barker and DJ AM injured in plane crash

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured Friday night after a Learjet crashed in South Carolina, killing four people. Thanks Nikki for sending the info! Appreciate ya! Image Source

Via AHH:

Two plane crew members and two passengers died in the accident just before midnight following an performance.

Barker and DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) have been admitted to an Augusta, GA burn unit.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said air

traffic controllers saw sparks coming from the plane shortly before midnight.

The Learjet veered off the runway and crashed on the highway adjacent to the airport.

Goldstein, former fiance’ of Nicole Richie, performed as bandmate to the post Blink-182 drummer Barker under the group name TRVSDJ-AM.

Barker has worked with severalĀ  notable Hip-Hop artists. Most recently, he collaborated with The Game on his new album L.A.X. and has remixed songs by artists ranging from Soulja Boy to Busta Rhymes.

Mediaoutrage- Our prayers go out to both of them and their families. But on a good note doctors expect both artist to make a full recovery.

    Thanks for keeping us abreast of this mainstream headline. I got wind of the unfortunate news on MSN and FOX, as well as another blog site.

    My heart goes out to the friends and family of both gentleman. Being a victim of a plane crash, survivor or not, requires years of emotional and physical healing. Many rough days lie ahead for two very talented artists, who have assisted in bridging the gap between music and cultural styles.

    May the Lord bless them with the countenance to heal and be spiritually revived through their impending struggles.

    M.O. how u gonna call me out by my government?? I was so saddened to hear about this. This happened right up the street from my house. Right by my daughters school.My heart goes out to the families of those that didnt survive and also to the fams of the survivors. They have a long road of recovery ahead, but The Burn Center is one of the best in the country.
