This is not a Diddy post lol. Being that we read ALL comments, we have noticed that the climate of verbal assault has increased. Mediaoutrage.com exist for the purpose to inform and entertain YOU. It’s not that serious everyone. If there are 2 people in a room there’s at least 3 different opinions, so with that said just relax take it light and enjoy conversing, buggin the f*ck out, and sharing information with your fellow readers.
We don’t want to impose restrictions on the comment area, because we promote free speech as you might have witnessed with that attention starved cornball Republican Voter. Oh by the way we laughed very hard at you and your nonsense. You were really killing us with the ALL CAPS lol. Homie check it, we have already made it known that we endorse Sen. Barack Obama and reserve the right to say WHATEVER the H-E-double hockey sticks we want about anyone and everyone. You can continue sending us your HATE emails but you’re only proving that you forgot to take your medicine and broke away from that padded room and jumped on one of the computers at the Nurse’s station to internet surf. Oh and you also are providing some real nice exercise for our delete key finger. With that said don’t delay hanging yourself on our account.
Back to our readers and the comment scuffles lol. The reason we try not to intervene, is because a lot of you argue and disagree everyday, and work it out on your own, and that’s how we like it. Another thing, everyone is tempered differently and some people love to debate and that’s cool. Everyone’s input is valid. Everyone’s opinion is valid no matter how it is perceived by others. That’s what makes the world we live in exciting. It would be bland if everyone dressed, behaved, spoke, sang, cussed, and laughed the same. But everyone just have fun and bug out cause it’s not that serious. Everyone carry on lol.

I don’t get upset when someone post about someone’s weight and go spouting about weight/health and how you don’t have to be thin to be healthy even though I am a plus size advocate.
I just wish folk would remain respectful. At the end of the day, with the exception of a precious few none of us know any of these stars that are posted daily on this message board. For the ones that are living in a delusional world and Boris or Denzel is their baby daddy and you are serious….there is a Rite Aid and/or Walgreens in every neighborhood. Basically, Fried Chicken was introduced during slavery times. The slaves were often transported and put on auction blocks. The slave owners wanted a good sale, but couldn’t do that if the slaves looked malnourished. The question was how to do it. Blacks in Africa often stewed their meat or roasted on an open pit. Never had any oil been introduced until the Slave Trade. The slave owners had to figure out how to feed the slaves over the long trips. Most food would go bad over long periods of time, so they introduced frying meats in oil. It preserves the meat so that it will last longer, therefore allowing the slaves to be fed.
Now the watermelon is a different story. It has long been introduced with a link to black folk. Like any other produce or product, the slave master had watermelon patches. The blacks farmed and harvested the produce but were not allowed to eat any of it. It is often said that many blacks were hung for stealing from a field of watermelons. Black folk during slavery times were fed scraps (called chitlins today) and garbage. They would make a meal from what my mother calls Dandelion Greens. The slave wasn’t fed good food thus having to make a meal from whatever was available, usually not much.

This isn’t a black vs white thing. Republican Voter has some issues that he obviously feels will do him bodily and mental harm unless he unloads them on THIS and other OBAMA hip hop sites, as he stated. He claims to make more money than the rest of us. White people are cool. Black people are cool. This is a Republican Voter thing vs. the staff of Mediaoutrage.
We must never yield to the temptation of HATE. Let him swirl around in his ignorance, but don’t follow in his dark footsteps by stooping to his level. He chose a post in which MediaOutrage staff decided to address and quell the malicious attacks taking place within the comments, to stir up even more confusion. I find that when you ignore attention seekers it’s like holding a mirror in front of their face and forcing them to see how irrelevant and impotent they actually are.
I read the site everyday. I like how Mediaoutrage does not discriminate. Yes, they dish out urban celebrity gossip, but never alienate other races. RV has issues so until MO decides to ban him just ignore him. That’s my thoughts on the matter.

Poor RV, it’s hard to be a racist nowadays. I agree with him, DT can get a bit misogynistic but it’s in fun. Should we talk about our sistas that way? 95% of your comments I don’t support. Your voice seems loud and angry, thus promoting me to feel there’s a better way to get your points across…effectively. However….at one point, haven’t we all been guilty of that?

It became very clear to me the other day, when a women could be attacked / disrespected…and then slashed again for standing up for herself…and then slashed again when fellow bloggers comes to her aid, that this situation was hopeless.

Personally, if this site is going to allow random bloggers to attack random bloggers with viscous nasty name calling…overtly discriminatory comments…and other forms of tacit harassment, then no one should be reprimanded.
On various sets around Hollywood, New York and Chicago, this blog has become a popular anonymous outlet for the very people you blog about to read about what’s being said regarding people in the entertainment industry. Celebrities read tabloids!!! This is the one that can be accessed without paparazzi proof…and it’s cool, because we often laugh just as hard as you do…until you’re blogging about us.
My heart kinda broke the other day, when I realized that the “crab in the barrel” mentality is alive and well on our site, which probably is a sampling pool for the overall attitude of this demographic. How can we be prepared to raise up and mentally fend for ourselves, when we can’t even support one and other? This soft, chewy, center gives folks like RV the opportunity that he has plotted and deserves…with the outcome being to ruffle our schema.
Personally, I think he won his personal battle. His mission was to rile readers up by being nasty, cruel and hateful…and guess what? Based upon our responses, he’s sitting back laughing his ass off right now.
No need to put me on the cutting board…I’ve had enough of that. Remember…this is just my opinion. It’s a waste of time to disagree. Focus your energy on making you own verbal thesis and supporting it.
Whether or not you’ve believed me, I’ve always spoken the truth.

I have been viewing Media Outrage for some time and I don’t leave comments but I have to address this issue.
First off we have to stop addressing this racist hatred with more racist hatred and realize that this is a site for COMEDY! This site is fucking hilarious and we go off and use this site as a political tirade and get way too serious. This rasist and misogynistic charaterzations of people that are on the internet are hilarious. How in the world can we get mad at a clown(RV) we never met?!?!
That is also the case when we listen to DT go and think he is a real person. Yes, Almost 98% of the readers on this site find DT to be a funny dude but who is he? A comedian’s imagination. If you are looking at him as a real person with misogynistic views then you are as dilusional as the RV charater.
My point is if you take the people and this website as more than entertaining and comedic genious, then you are a confused and crazy as meeting and marrying a woman off of Myspace!
This is comedy people. Funny & crude with Chris Rock-like humor! Yes it is very informative and can be addictive because the humor is crazy, but people, we have got to stop it at comedy and quit the preaching and pulpitting.
If you want to do all of that then go to Warren Ballentine of Al Sharpton….or hell, Black Planet has good forums. CNN politics is great as well.

This blog has grown exponentially, since the entre of provocative topics and points of view. The advertisers are happy, because they see cha-ching, when they see diversity. I bet MO ain’t complaining either…
The forum style responses that you are discouraging, is the very type of post you submitted. It was quite good by the way…

A lot of comments to read through. MO i feel what you are saying to the readers. For me it’s like this: I come every day and now have been visiting at night also to get the latest in news and entertainment. I saw things get real heated the other day between Rocksee and Reader who by the way took a couple of shots at me, which is cool. It’s not serious enough for me to type a response to his quip.
MO you have done a great job at creating a personal family vibe on this site. I have never been to a site that shouts out its readers. I read all of the comments every day just because while passing time at work, this is the funnest and funniest thing on the web for me. My co-workers check it out just as often as I do now, (bunch of biters lol) People are always going to disagree. I read all of RV’s ridiculous comments and I arrived at the same conclusion that MO and Positive Thought did. He was out for attention and trying to undermine the flow and reader relationship on here. I refused to go toe-to-toe with a moron. What often makes me laugh, is how often people object to EVERYTHING on MO and take precious time to let us know about it. Some people are just silly. MO keep doing what you’re doing cause you got a few of us at my spot (place of work) hooked on this sh*t like the heroin Frank Lucas was pushing lol.

Wow just read through all the comments. RV no comment. DT you handled him well. One thing I respect about you DT, is that whenever some racist comes on here and gets out of pocket towards either the readers or MO (how can you come at the staff lol that’s just ignant lol) DT is the first one to put them in place and run them on out of here lol. I’m a proud black woman but i must confess, that the hilarious sexual comments towards some of the actresses that MO writes about is hilarious to me lol. DT does it in a funny, harmless manner. Everyone knows he’s just putting humor on top of the crazy humor MO brings. Dt keep on being as disgusting and sexist as you like because honey I’m in an office full of BORING ass people all DAY, who lack a sense of humor, and can’t relate to our culture. That’s why MO has become my biggest cup of coffee.

We’re all a bunch of hypocrites (myself including)..Everyone’s on this whole “free speech” spiel but once someone comes along with a different opinion…we’re ready to chew their ass out..and I just don’t understand how everything manages to turn into a black vs. white issue…If this is a Site for “Entertainment Purposes” why do we always manage to get into such heated/sensitive topics? Ah whatever I don’t even know what I’m rambling about anymore..I understand we all have our opinions but when we go so far as constantly insulting one another especially with the racial bull..it becomes annoying/old!! Let’s stick to criticizing these celebs instead =)..Isn’t that what we’re here for anyway?
