Real Beauty

Rihanna hit up the 2008 UNICEF Snowflake Lighting at the Grand Army Plaza last night in NYC. We must say that RiRi’s make-up was more than on point. Close ups really reveal her true beauty. Pork Chop Grease Lips also got dapper in one of his suits and strolled on down for the shindig.

one thing can be said about Rihanna: although she changed her hair to this punk rocker nonsense, and has songs that clearly aren’t R&B no matter how you disguise them…Shut Up and Drive, Disturbia…etc, at least she no longer wears blonde wigs and hasn’t changed her beautiful black features…not hating, just calling it like I see it.
She’s cute.

Ne-yo always is dressed like a fag limo driver going to a gay bar??…
Why is it necessary to wear a Kojak fedora with gloves? The fuck is this guy a serial rapist or something?
Ri-Ri can dress her ass off…she has the talent of my 3 year old shitzu..but she still can dress….

No argument Rihanna is very attractive, but she is not a singer.

Rihanna is just simply a lovely person. Her beauty is so breath-taking.
In today’s entertainment industry, it is almost always about style over substance. We should all give odes to Janet Jackson for pioneering this trend. Also, odes to JLO for reviving this trend and making it ok to simply have enough of an “it” factor that people ignore how horrible you actually sound. Rihanna is just the newest and most recent fresh-faced artist to draw us so deep into her beauty (those eyes are divine) that we could care less about her singing abilities (or inabilities). She is just fun to watch and it is very difficult to ignore her huge presence. She has impeccable style that is virtually unmatched in the industry; she is obviously surrounded by industry giants with impeccable insight; and, she seems to be having so much fun and don’t seem to take herself seriously at all (she isn’t even afraid to throw a public tantrum from time to time). Her highs and lows have not created a shift in her personality. She is not trying to be and icon, a legend, a winner or this, a winner of that, the first Black to do this, the first Black to do that…here a quack, there a quack, everywhere a quack, quack…she is just having fun in such a fickle industry. I see Rihanna, because she obviously has class, as the Lena Horne type: when her time is up, she will gracefully retreat to her beloved Barbados. That other chick will end up as sad and pathetic as Aretha and Tina Turner: old chicks that don’t know that there time and era have came and went. I can see that other chick as being a slightly overweight 50-something year old still out there trying to prove that she can compete with fresh-faced talents. For that reason alone, it will be Rihanna who will reach legendary status because she is not seeking anything: she is having fun and she adores Chris Brown (he adores her as well). You can’t force-feed your way into legendary status. JLo was hot, hot, hot not so long ago and had movies, music, clothes, perfume, restaurants…you name it she had it. However, she crashed and burned. Whether people accept it or not, Beyonce is a gimmick. That is why she is trying so hard for people to take her serious. All of the Destiny Child’s album and her solo albums have YET to produce a classic. Rihanna has a classic in “Umbrella.” I don’t care how you cut it, that song is one that cannot ever be a remake. Just like no one can ever remake, “The Greatest Love Of All” or “What’s Love Got To Do With It” or “Purple Rain” or even Brittany Spear’s stuipid song “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” These songs are synonymous with their singers. I have not heard a DC song or B song that I will be up in arms if someone ever tried to remake it. That’s pretty sad. Only legends can produce classics.

Rihanna is absolutely beautiful in this outfit. Her hair and make-up are exactly the same as it is in the post with her and Mary J. Those two events must have been in the same night.

Yeah, Rihanna is cute and she can dress her ass off, or she has a hell of a stylist, which either way is good on her. But you can miss me with the Legandary Status talk. She has to become a good artist first. I Like her because she is doing things a little different and I give her her props and respect for that. But Legend……Maybe if she hangs around for another 16 years or more years making music but. It takes atleast 20 years in the biz to start being considered legandary. Or three great albums and an early death. But Mary J. has just recently been thrown into the legandary group. Rihanna aint even figured out where to buy a ticket to ride the train to Legendaryville.

I don’t really see it…Nothing about her really stands out (to me anyway)..As far as her Style is concerned…it doesn’t impress me one bit…Half the time she looks like she tried wayyyy too hard to put something together..The only thing that might draw people in are her eyes..that’s about it..but then her 5-head and extra long face scares them off!!
