You may want to fall back Mr. President, the Republicans int he senate and the congress already stated you may not have that blank check on your desk by Jan 20th if they have anything to say about it. The Democrats do not have full control of the house nor the senate.
I guess my honeymoon with President elect Obama is over, I don’t understand how can you keep even now campaigning for a new direction and new ideals, when your cabinet is made up of old Clinton White House staff, including Hillary Clinton with in the shadow Bill Clinton? Same car different driver….. Jan,Dan, Republican Voter…. If I could change my vote it would go to Ralph Nater.
Sorry folks… I hate the Clintons and don’t trust them to change their draws let alone have this countries best interest at heart, and get Obamas back, I think there will be alot of underminding his office to make him look incompetent. For me the selection of Clintons former staff including her is a creation of behind the man is the woman sitting in the oval office. Go back and listen to his speech about not having the same old Washington ideals and experience, because according to Obama with all the experience the old Washington has it basically is experience without change and nothing new in guiding this country toward a new direction….
Having anyone remotely associated with the former White House cabinet of the Clintons, in this adminstration is a slap in the face of those of us hoping for new voices new ideals and the hunger and intellence to help Obama take this country in a prosperous direction. I was so looking for this country garner the respect we had before the Bush white house. Hell Clinton herself stated in the second debate she is not willing to sit not with other countries… so why become Secretary of State?….
Maybe I don’t understand, if not somebody help me to understand the bigger picture

@ Yeah I said it…even if that blank check is available for the new president, will this trully boost the economy?!
The recession has become a global issue, that has the entire world in distress! Last night, I was watching the news and they were discussing the Phillipines who use to export rice to other countries and now they are importing this cash crop! So many families that had been working in rice fields for generations, had to adapt to a new source of living in order to take care of their families. Some families began to grow blue grass while some are dealing with the adverse circumstances!
As far as Hilary is concerned, I am still shocked that he choose her…but we should have seen it coming when Mr. Obama selected one of her former advisor’s as his chief of staff! Is Bill the next one, he plans on hiring?

This is a damn shame. We all knew the economy was bad, but it is worse than that. President-elect Obama has been handed a plate, no, a boatload of crap that needed to be dealt with like yesterday.
I stated before that I had hoped he would choose wisely when he picked his Secretary of State. I am not pleased with the choice he made but I am not behind close doors with him when he makes his decisions nor do I know the reasons why…if he thought Senator Clinton was the best choice, so be it. I only hope this is not a favor returned.
Buckle up folks, we are in for a long tough ride.

keep your friend close ,and your enemies closer, that ‘s what Obama is doing (in my opinion). by selecting Hilary as his secretary of state, her hopes to run for the presidency just got squashed.
I know many of view don’t agree with his latest economic dream team, but right now America, fuck it, the world need those guys in the white house. They are responsible for the biggest bull market in America history ( from 1992 , when Bush Left the white house, to 2001, when W. came in). They actually reduce the national debt, which is kind of impossible right now. Not that past performance should dictate the future, but those guys know what they’re doing. Now if Bush could go f%ck himsel and put them in power right now, he would do everybody a favor.
Now, for the blank cheque that Obama wants, he will get it, but not on Jan 20th.It will be very hard to pass another $700 billion in the House. In total the U.S has used already 7.7 trillions dollars to help wall street and try to unfreeze the credit market. yesterday, they just gave 306 billions dollars to CITI, the biggest bank in the U.S. in exchange for 27 billions of preffered shares. so How much is left out of that 700 billions ? we another problem now, DETROIT ‘s big 3 , they need money and they needed BAAAAD. GM and Ford are burning money like it was growing on tree (about 5 billions a month). In my opinion give 10 billions to GM only, fuck the rest.
in conclusion, lol, Obama is doing what he promised, which is to tackle the economy problems. He has a plan , he has the team to execute that plan, I like, and most American like it. He focusing on the U.S.A now, something that Bush administration apparently forgot.

I hear you Lio, however I am disappointed in his selection of Hillary and some of the left over key senior staffers from the former Clinton cabinet.
As far as the blank the republican might present him with a filibuster. As they are not happy with more spending. They see it as a continue waste of tax-payers money. I also understand as of today he is looking to stop programs that are deemed, for the lack of a better word, over-priced for that program and its worth right now.
As for the big 3, GM said it would give back two of their five leased jets.(WOW) I am not for bailing them out.

he was probably under pressure to give Hilary something, just to shut the media and other Hilary supporter. Just politics…as for the blank cheque, I’m 100% agree with the republican, however, those same republican gave more than 1 trillion dollars over the past 4 years, for the so called war or terror, we could of used that money for the current situation
as far as the big 3 goes, if you don’t know how to run and manage your company, than no one should help you.
