Gabrielle Union: Beyonce and I have been friends since we were teenagers

Gabrielle Union recently did an interview in which she had some interesting things to say about her and Beyonce’s relationshisp. Particularly the fact that they have been friends since they were teenagers. Hmm how can that be if Gabrielle Union is 36 and Beyonce is 27? Peep part of the interview below…
BG: One of your co-stars is Beyonce. How was it working with her?
GU: Beyonce and I have been friends since we were teenagers. We go to the same hairstylist now and you know how those bonds are! B is such a polite, nurturing person and a joy to work with. It’s easy to work with her because she is a good friend of mine.
It’s funny because she says how she is so different from Sasha Fierce, her stage ego and it’s true. She isn’t a diva at all but when she steps on stage I sometimes have to ask myself who that person is up there, but as soon as she steps foot off stage she is back to the same nice person I have always known.
B told me that every role she takes, she is progressively getting better and better and it shows with her role as Etta James. Whether she wins an award for her performance…she really nailed the role and that is something that you have to do when portraying a person who really existed in history and not just a character.

Mediaoutrage- Hmm? Do 19 year olds really hang out with 10 year olds? We know that in the entertainment industry most artist push their ages back to give their career a longer life of relevance. What do you think? Is Beyonce 27 or in her 30′s?

I believe gabrielle story, it’s obvious beyonce is going after the oscar & Gabrielle is just letting ppl. know she is a professional actress and beyonce been looking for an acting role since she was 10…

Yeah, I heard that Bey was older than 27 from many sources!
MO, you are right I don’t know any 19 year olds that hang out with 10 year olds..even siblings don’t do ish like that! My little sis is 21 and I am 31, we have never been tight!
So I think Gabby is just trying to get publicity for the movie!

I love Beyonce, but I do think she’s older than 27, but I also think Kelly (who I also love) is Matthew’s child. Heck Kelly, Solange and Matthew all kinda favor.

Isn’t Bey from Houston and Gabby’s from Omaha, NE? So how could they have known each other since they were teens? This is definitely a publicity stunt.

Hey guys sorry to burst your bubble,but Beyonce is indeed older than she publicly claims.I know it from people who’ve worked with her,but you don’t have to believe me if ya don’t want to, but its the truth.Come on folks.Its a business!Also why would Gabrielle want to pull a supposed publicity stunt concerning something as trifling as age?Beyonce is about 34 or 35 now.Mark my words!

Beyonce got exposed when they got a hold of her birth certificate. She is in her thirties! Matthew surely did damage control to get rid of that evidence, but for one moment in time the cat was out of the bag. But then again…who really cares?

Cyd, when Destiny’s child released their album “Writings on the Wall” they used to say that Kelly and Beyonce were related. After some years the story changed to Kelly’s momma was the house maid. How else could they explain why Kelly and Beyonce are so close in age (whatever age that is) but obviously have different mothers.
Now Little T, you said that it was a publicity stunt. Sorry to break it to you but many “celebs” do start as teens. They work New York and Hollywood and maybe that is how Beyonce and Gabrielle knew each other. Also, if she (beyonce) is lying about her age…what makes you think she isn’t lying about how long she lived in Texas? Or if she is even from Texas..former Pres. Bush used to tell that same lie, but he was just a rich preppy boy who longed to be a cowboy. Anyway, she is probably from Alabama.

Gabrielle Union was correct. Beyonce is actuallly TEN years older than she reports. Beyonce got caught on Jay Leno several years ago lying about her age when he surfaced some REALLY old videos of her. And on MTV Cribs, Kelly slipped and said it was her birthday and she couldn’t believe that she was turning THIRTY and then there is an audible cough from Beyonce’s dad/their manager and she looked guilty as hell and then quickly adjusted it to say, “I mean i’m turning TWENTY.” Um, yeah.

That is sick, dont know why she hiding her age, if she look good for her age and can still get on out there and move like that, that is a good thing!! anyhow her face tells it all anyhow, she looks old to me in the face, i can imagine without the makeup and weave and stuff what she really look like , probably look in her 40s

Everybody who said that its true, that Beyonce lied about her age is RIGHT! I mean I remember back in 05 I googled what year was beyonce on star search because on MTV’s TRL a Fact scrolled across the screen that she was on there in 1983 and was 9yrs old. It was the first thing came up. And this was before the birth certificate controversy. Now if u google that same thing a whole lot of other stuff pops up. Also kelly was not the only one who made a “boo-boo” in revealing the real age. Michelle did the same thing during an interview in europe. When they asked her about her age she say “oh I’m just old” because she forgot what her fake age was. To me to carry on a lie like that for soooooooooooo long and to put all of this money and effort into it is a shame. Tell the truth shame the devil and get on with ur life . Gail King just said the other day that she was happy for Beyonce having a baby because she knows she wanted have one for a loooooong time now. WHAT! If she is only “30″ how long has she been wanting to get prego since she wasa a teenager smh.
