This year is already being filled with historic moments such as the Inauguration of our first Black President and now the Republicans have followed suit by electing Michael Steele as the new chairman of the Republican Party which makes him the first Black person to ever hold that position since the party’s inception. In the thumbnail below they’re gathered around him like he just hit the game winner to win the championship or something Lol.

The Republican Party chose the first black national chairman in its history Friday, just shy of three months after the nation elected a Democrat as the first African-American president. The choice marked no less than “the dawn of a new party,” declared the new GOP chairman, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele. Republicans chose Steele over four other candidates, including former President George W. Bush’s hand-picked GOP chief, who bowed out declaring, “Obviously the winds of change are blowing.”
Steele takes the helm of a beleaguered Republican Party that is trying to recover after crushing defeats in November’s national elections that gave Democrats control of Congress put Barack Obama in the White House. Read the rest of this entry »

Rihanna performed at VH1’s Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash at the Ford Ampitheatre in Tampa, FL last night. Based on her outfits alone, her shows look like they give you your money’s worth. Vocal skills still no comment….

Dwight Freeney threw a Super Billiards Tournament and Party and of course Michael Jordan swung through to get his pool game on. Many of Jordan’s closest associates and former teammates have said that his competitive appetite is never full. Claudia Jordan was on hand for the festivities looking rather delicious. Model Shelly Rio and Charles Oakely were also in the building. On a scale of 1-10 what would you give Claudia Jordan look wise?

Jadakiss was at the Chung King Studios in NYC last night for an album listening session for his next album The Last Kiss if that ish ever makes it out in the stores. We have to say that Jada never really got the promotion and attention his skills truly deserved. How many of you like kiss?

The girl Taraji P. Henson is doing her damn thing in Hollywood and everyone’s taking notice even the Oscar nomination board. Yes, she’s been nominated for an Oscar for her role in Benjamin Button. Get it girl! Well her peeps threw her an Oscar nomination party at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills yesterday. Sanna Lathan, Nia Long, John Singleton and Tyrese all came out to celebrate.

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant were spotted leaving a restaurant in Hollywood dressed to the T. We know Kobe studies Michael Jordan tapes more than his game tapes. We just wonder will he try and emulate MJ and orchestrate a divorce and let his wife walk way with half his stacks? Word to MO readers the Lakers are going back to the Championship this year.
