Happy Birthday Dr. King
Posted by Media Outrage on January 19, 2009
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been 80 years old today had he lived. We just wanted to take the time to recognize one of the greatest humans to ever walk this Earth. Dr. King gave his life for the struggle of freedom and justice. It is ironic that the Inauguration of America’s first Black President will take place just one day after Dr. King’s birthday. We wonder if he would felt that his dream had finally come into fruition. To watch his “I Have A Dream” speech

It has been a long journey for improvements on civil rights and equality, and with Obama being sworn in, the civil rights movement have come full circle since the “I have a dream speech”. I hope Obama can concentrate on increasing jobs, advancing education, and the decreasing of our dependence on fossil fuels.
