Shout out to loyal reader Truly23 for sending us this article. A man accidentally shot his female neighbor after mistaking her for a monkey picking fruit in his tree.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Police said a man shot his neighbor, mistaking her for a monkey as she was picking sapodilla fruit in his tree.
Yahaya Othman, police chief in eastern Pahang state, said the woman was gathering fruit Thursday when her neighbor shot her.
The man came home and saw rustling in the tree and fired into it, Yahaya said. “Then there was screaming … and only then did he know it was his neighbor.”
He said the woman was hospitalized with a wound to the abdomen but her condition was stable Friday.
He said police were investigating the man, a volunteer security corps member, for illegally discharging a firearm, which carries a maximum prison term of two years.

I hate she was shot and I’m glad she’s okay but didn’t she have a fruit tree of her own? Personally, that sounds like stealing. It was HIS tree wasn’t it?

Ummm…if it was just a monkey, he could’ve just thrown something. I wanna know what he planned to with that monkey after he shot it. MMmmmmm….dinner!

I know it’s not a funny situation, but hubby and I had a good chuckle about that. I’m sorry folks-I know that’s a one way ticket to Hell from laughing…But, she should’ve known better to be up in a tree of all places- she should’ve been picking the fruit closest to the ground, then she could’ve been seen.
