Rachel Roy Files For Divorce

Rachel Roy has filed for divorce. She’s had about all she can stand of Dame’s broke ass.

Via NyDailyNews:

He’s got no money, but he sure does have mo’ problems.

Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear co-founder Damon Dash has been slapped with divorce papers by wife Rachel Roy, the Daily News has learned.

The stunning fashion designer piled onto Dash’s already sizable stack of lawsuits when she filed for divorce from her husband of four years this month in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Ed Hayes, a lawyer for Roy, declined comment, and a Dash spokeswoman did not return calls or e-mails.

An electronic record of the case says the divorce is for “nonmonetary relief” and should be resolved by February.

Dash and Roy, who put her own name on a women’s fashion line, got hitched in Mexico in January 2005. They met when Roy was working at Rocawear and have two daughters.

The breakup is the latest legal mess for the has-been hip-hop titan, whose empire – which he once pegged at “about $50 million” in a New York magazine profile – has crumbled under massive debt, bad business deals and one suit after another.

Dash, who in 2005 sold his stake in Rocawear to Jay-Z for $20 million, owes $2 million in state taxes, and a bank has started foreclosure proceedings on his two Tribeca condos.

A Manhattan judge even ordered the city to seize his luxury Chevrolet Tahoe SUV last year when he couldn’t make the $714.99 monthly payment. He’s also being sued by law firms and landlords for not paying his bills.

The fall has been a spectacular one for Dash, who sipped Champagne on a yacht in Jay-Z’s video for “Big Pimpin’” – then emptied his bottle of bubbly onto bikini-clad beauties in a hot tub.

“He’s broke, he’s got nothing left,” a source said.

Dash debuted last year as a theater producer with the “Hip-Hop Monologues,” an Off-Broadway account of the life of his latest protégé, rapper Jim Jones.

The production is set to resume performances tonight at 37 Arts in Manhattan.

While he may have been short on cash, Dash wasn’t short on confidence when he hyped the show in New York magazine and vowed to make a splashy return to the music business.

“And when I come back, I’m gonna change the economy as well,” he said.

Mediaoutrage- Lmao! @ the source saying “he’s broke and has nothing left.” SMH at him disintegrating before our eyes.

Terrance I don’t think that means she was with him for money. If he was managing their money irresponsibly then that is a serious problem. Finances can run down a relationship just like infidelity and abuse.

thats sad, everyone is different i guess, for me, if i love my man, if he take a loss, I will definetly stand by him and put our head together to come up with a , COME UP PLAN for him, I am willing to help him during his trial and tribulation, just as he would do me, especially if I had a man that gave me everything and stuck by me, and did me right, you damn right i would ride that out with him and help him until he or we come up with a plan, no one likes to take a fall, but its a softer land when you have someone that got your back, regardless of what you did, the blessing will come twice as much on your life from god, i would never leave no one in the cold, especially if that man did me right and half his money was spent on me, and i contribute to spending his money, i couldnt be proud of myself for that, wasnt raised like that anyhow. im a rider, that is with saying if that man did me right and he treated me well and spent his money with me, and all the glory that goes with it, then yes im gonna stand by him, its another story if he didnt do nothing for me, and spent on other woman, and dogged me, and treated me like shit, then when he fall, he will feel the hardness of the ground, and he will know he is alone, but everyone is different and there are women / men who dont tolerate anyone taking a fall, they will be out, some people dont deal with that bullshit, like i said, everyone is different, cant be mad at that either, each his own, its all good

for me, that is my nature anyhow, if anyone needs help, male or female, i am known to stick my neck out and help out anyone, in need. i have done so much for people its not funny, but im very blessed, by god. some folks take advantage, and some dont, i dont worry about the ones that take advantage, because they will one day have to turn and face me again, or need me, and that is when they will feel it, i have loaned as much as 5,000 out to a person at once, to help them with their mortgage, and i have my own, and i own a 6 apartment complex, so like i said god blessed me, some folks that only had one job, and i hooked their resume up and got them very nice paying jobs, and i have 3 different phone lines for business, and let them use me as references, i do resumes professionally , some people when i found them jobs, they never said thanks, a so called friend of mine, never had a good job, on my word with the manager of a publishing company i got her a job as a junior accountant, and had her resume hooked, she got the job 40K per year, that broad never said thanks, or even spoke again, i didnt worry , i make triple that a year or more, she lost that job and left me a message to call her, i never returned her call, and she tried to use me for reference, and when they called, i simply said i dont know that person, she never worked for me and hung up, im sure she didnt get that job,
