The Show Must Go On

T-Pain is back and performing after seriously injuring himself in a golf cart, which caused him the loss of 4 teeth.
Singer/rapper T-PAIN returned to the stage in California on Sunday (29Mar09), just three days after an accident with a golf cart left him needing emergency dental surgery.
The Can’t Believe It hitmaker, real name Faheem Najm, was admitted to hospital in Texas last Wednesday (25Mar09) after falling off a golf buggy while fooling around backstage at a show.
He was forced to cancel his performance at Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour stop in San Jose, California on Friday (27Mar09) amid rumours he had suffered a broken jaw in the incident.
But T-Pain proved the reports wrong by hitting the stage at Universal City at the weekend, insisting his jaw was intact, although he had lost four teeth and sustained cuts and bruises in the accident.
And despite his injuries, he was determined to put on a show for his fans.
He told the crowd, “There’s a lot of talk that I flipped over in a golf cart. That’s f**king true. It did happen like three days ago. My a** is on fire right now. My side hurt, my mouth hurt.
“I bust my a**. I’d show you the marks but I don’t wanna pull my pants down right now… I got my teeth fixed the same day. I don’t give a f**k how many golf carts I flip over. If I was any less of a showman tonight, I apologise.”
Mediaoutrage- It’s good to see that he’s having a speedy recovery. That’s a dedicated performer right there.
