Eva Mendes: “Spending Money Makes Me Uncomfortable”

Eva Mendes is very frugal with her money, despite the fact that she’s earned millions.

EVA MENDES never splashes her cash on expensive clothes or diamonds – because spending her hard-earned money makes her “uncomfortable”.
Mendes’ family moved from Cuba to the U.S. before she was born, and after her parents split she was raised by her mother, who struggled to pay her way with a variety of part-time jobs.
The Hitch star insists her humble roots have made her frugal with her finances and Mendes is adamant she will never fritter away her fortune on unnecessary material goods.
She tells Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, “I wouldn’t change my upbringing. It’s given me great values towards money and has made me really appreciate everything I have. I’m not a spender or a shopper. I don’t find pleasure in being frivolous with money. In fact, I find it uncomfortable.
“Even this ring I’m wearing right now will go back to my stylist at the end of the day. I don’t think money can make you happy at all. The only thing it will do is drive you crazy.”
Mediaoutrage- If more celebs thought like she did, there would be less people dying while signing those chapter 11 documents.

She is smart….getting money from movies, wardrobe is free from designers, and probably goes on dates and eats for free…..
No need to spend money, her moth and uterus muscles are probably working harder than a Mexican in an orange field…..
So why spend bread?

I can understand spending your money using your common sense and walking around with a lot of bling bling on is, IMO, unnecessary but I have to disagree with her statement about money not making you happy.
We alread have happiness within us but having an abundance of money just enhances that happiness. Money is good and necessary. It feels good to know I can get a new car or go on that dream vacation when I want to other than having to save up for months or years before I can.

She’s smart though. She knows at any time that career can nose dive leaving you with what you have saved.

You need to be happy with yourself no matter what. Broke or rich if you’re not happy you’re not happy. Nothing will change that whether it’s money, a relationship, jewels or otherwise.
