Kelly Rowland: “I Couldn’t Take It Anymore!”

Kelly Rowland has found new managment and is now talking about her decision to leave daddy Mathew Knowles.

Kelly Rowland is moving forward with a new lease on life, thanks to the officially confirmed split with longtime manager Mathew Knowles. Before she completes the transition, Rowland has come forward to shed light on the exact reason why she split with Beyonce’s father and MusicWorld executive.
“I just felt like I wasn’t growing anymore,” says the former “Like This” singer.
News of Rowland’s parting of ways with Knowles was met with both questions and applause but one thing some ask is why now ?
Answering that very question, Rowland tells Chris Yandek of CYInterview, “It took a long time to actually come up with the final decision because it was something that you think about before when you feel like you’re almost hitting a ceiling. I wanted a change. I needed a change. So that’s what happened”.
As previously reported on Singersroom, Rowland has hired Kelis and Michele Branch manager Jeff Rabhan and legal expert Gary Stiffelman who will both oversee her career, which might include a third studio album next year.
At this time though, Rowland is focused on television, specifically the BRAVO reality series “The Fashion Show”.
Mediaoutrage- Kelly it wasn’t a ceiling you hit. It was an orchestrated plot by the Knowles Klan to watch you go only so high, and watch their daughter blow the H up.

She definitely needed a different manager. I mean even Letoya has a had a success solo career. I think Matthew was hindering Kelly or at the very least doing little to promote her work.

Hmm. I’m glad she moved on, she should have done it a long time ago, but I’m not so sure she’ll see the success she wants. Kelly won’t be Beyonce- or Ciara or Keri for that matter. She doesn’t have a niche to fill, she’s just a really great supporting cast member. Matthew & Tina spent a lifetime developing their Manchurian performer, Kelly can’t compete this late in the game. All she can hope for is a respectable album that sells more than 100 copies. I wish her the best of luck though!

I would like to go on record to all the Kelly Rowland fans and retract that statement….I apologize….The Dickwell is sorry because I actually watched that show on Bravo in my office, and I think the show is ASS on all four sides, But her career in Cinemax and Showtime 3 am movies does look promising!

True talent can’t be stopped no matter who’s up against you. I must say that Kelly should have made this move a while ago because anyone with two eyes, ears, and the ability to read could understand that Beyonce was the one setup to be the star.

I sure hope that you didn’t listen to all these people who write in saying “they put family before family” get it ~your family to your manager~…. like me these people merely work for their own small company or for a company as an employee ..?….
What would we truly know about sacrifice and timing in that huge wheel you play around in? Anyway I don’t think that your manager would stop the flow of riches if you could be as big as say “M.J.”??? THAT WOULD BE SILLY. Good luck with your new management and if you fall I’m sure you can always lean on your guardian parents & their girls(your sisters)if you need advice or support. They just don’t seem to be the type to discard caring family easily. People with nothing who do nothing do that kind of stuff and you don’t come from nothing.
Also, maybe try to put out more tracks. If you only release one song a year … even Beyonce wouldn’t make it. This isn’t 1965 it’s 2009 and your up against lady Gaga, Britany,
keri, Beyonce and looks like LaToya very soon….

Kelly was an exception because she was supposedly Beyonce’s cousin? whatever….Im glad that she decided to make a decision and try something else for herself and her career and i wish her much luck and success. I hope that her decision does not ruin her relationship with the Knowles family.
