Happy Birthday Tupac

Today June 16th is Tupac Shakur’s birthday. Had he lived, Tupac would have turned 38 today. In retrospect, his life was taken at 25. Tupac was undoubtedly one of the most influential persons on the planet period. Had he lived, do you think he would have established an even bigger acting career?? There is a benefit concert taking place today in honor of Shakur.

Celebrities such as Big Boi of OutKast will perform at the late Tupac Shakur’s birthday celebration and benefit concert on June 16. Comedian Mike Epps and Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, present the event held at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta. All proceeds will benefit the Center, which was created to celebrate the rapper’s legacy. It features rotating exhibits, Tupac memorabilia, a performance area and a gift shop.Tickets are available for $25 at www.tasf.org.—MB

((just lost my breath)) that is my baby , i love that dude, happy birthday baby doll!!!!!! with his fine ass, pretty smile, beautiful teeth, gorgeous eyes! nice body, mmmmmmmmmmm. i got every thing this dude made, in his own special CD case in my lexus, all set up in the custom made disc changer, so i will never have to change nothing, yes i put the sunroof back and let the kenwood rip! that is all i listen to , i love this dude

I love Tupac. On Monday Wednesday and Friday I play “Hit em Up”…. I love the shit out of that song. On Tuesday Thursday and Sunday i play church music to redeem myself from the overload of profanity all week.

Folks need to move on. Calling him one of the most influential people on the planet was a stretch. Creative yes, but his influence worldwide I don’t see. This isn’t a Ghandi or Mandela we’re talking about. Although his lyrics were definitely poetic and deep and referenced social change I don’t see anything that Tupac did to affect change in the community that he rapped about. People wake up and know what a real leader is.
