I feel sooo sorry for Maia, she needs help bad. Instead of the people exploiting her, maybe need to seek treatment for her. This is what fame and fotune will do to some people, especially if they do not surround themselves with positive people. She needs treatment bad!!

I saw this yesterday too and couldn’t believe it. It’s sad to see her like that. I also saw on some sites that she was on drugs and was mentally ill. So that just makes it more tragic. I’ll be praying for her because drug addiction and mentally illness is nothing to play with or laugh at.

I saw this clip on another website yesterday. I don’t want to replay it again.
Tears came to my eyes when I saw it. This is so sad. I know those punks are using and abusing her on a daily basis.
I read her mom had died and she has mental problems plus doing drugs, but what about other members of her family? Someone needs to help Maia. She needs an intervention desperately.
After remebering her on In The House and seeing her like this….I said a prayer for her last night.

I see a lot of comments asking why not help her? It will be all for nothing if the person needing help does not want help. they have to be tired of living the life, If they are not tired its not time for help because help will fail. God Helps those that help themselves.
But her mother (BeBe Moore Campbell) wrote another book before she died calledn 72 hour hold, or something like that, it was about dealing with people who had mental issues an it has been rumored that it was because of Maia that she wrote the book.

i think she has always had some underlying mental illness, her mom was one of my favorite authors. BeeBe Moor Campbell wrote many books about our culture and struggles. She was a fiction writer but her book 72 Hour Hold i think was supposed to be based on Maia. It is about living with a relatiave with mental illness. She died of a brain tumor in 06 so I know Maia must have taken that pretty hard, so I am sure all of that plays into the person we see today.
For everyone saying that someone should help her, need to keep in mind that its not that easy to help an adult with mental illness. i am sure her family has reached out to her. I just know her mom would be heartbroken if she knew she ended up this way. But God is a healer and only HE can bring her back from this sort of self destruction. Lets just pray that she gets the help she needs before its too late.

I have read alot of stories on your website and this is the 1st time I have ever been motivated enough to speak. it is so sad how these same idiot folks who are filming this young woman’s tragic life are probably contributing to her downfall. unless you have lost your mother, you don’t know the pain she is feeling and filling herself with drugs may postpone her grief but it will all the heavier when she sombers up! prayers to you, maia and what a shame that high society throws away people like rubbish when they were through with them! sad, sad, sad!
