Why would i need the “Principles for Healing” when i have a BIBLE <– Gold Digging Reverend…what's next r u going to sell ur soul?

  3. Cyndy Says:

I don’t think a person is a gold-digging reverend because they write a book on principles of healing. GOD inspires his people to write books to provide deeper revelation and understanding than they might already possess. Benny Hinn wrote a book on the Holy Spirit, does that mean that it shouldn’t be read because we have a bible? Some people just don’t make sense when they talk. Bishop Jakes has written books on plenty of topics so does that make him a gold-digging reverend? GOD wants his people to have a deeper knowledge and understanding of him and that is why we have ministers and preachers that receive visions and revelations from him.

I think the reverend will be *In 50cent voice* laughing straight to the bank with this (Ha, ha ha ha ha ha, ha, ha ha ha ha ha)<– No thanks, imma read my BIBLE.

No nerve was hit. I just find it interesting that when it pertains to the people spreading the gospel making money then folks all of a sudden want to imply that everyone’s corrupt. As I said, GOD has inspired plenty of people to write books about Depression, Happiness, Patience, The Holy Spirit, Healing, Money and many other things. Now all of those topics are in the bible but GOD is aware that not everyone has an indepth understanding of everything in the bible so he gives REVELATION to his children so they won’t wander around in darkness. That’s all.

But also….@ Cyndy I do agree some people are a bit more receptive to something that doesn’t seem biblical to them.
There are some people that have a gift for making it plain and simple.

I’m with YISI. When you have that personal relationship with God, you don’t need books when you can get what you need from Him.

And I fully understand what Cyndy’s saying but I agree with Behave. I mean if the stuff they’re putting in these books are really revelations, visions, etc., from God, why charge people to get the message? Why not word of mouth? In the Bible the word of Christ was spread by mouth.

And true a lot a people don’t “understand” the Bible but that’s why there’s a New International Version or your Pastor.

  12. Cyndy Says:

@ MissTX85- Why charge people for the message? Well I don’t consider someone selling a book for $19.95 or whatever price, charging people for the message. It takes MONEY to do MINISTRY. Whoever the author is, probably doesn’t have the money out of pocket to just print up hundreds of thousands of copies on their own and just give them away, so they sell them in order to have the money to mass produced and get the message out. IF that’s the case, then why pay tithes and offerings to church? Because the lights, water, mortgage and other bills of the church must be paid in order to accomplish getting the word of GOD out.

Madam Reverend ain’t nothing but the modern day Julius Caesar – and since I believe in ‘giving to caesar what is caesar’s’ and u can keep ur ‘revelations’, there is a WHOLE chapter for that in MY BIBLE, lol, trying to rob me of my very nickel, if that ain’t caesar-ish, i ain’t Ms. Behave, lol

Jesus turned water into wine, but this here madam is trying to make me and my pocket bleed, *mm-hmm * crucifixion days are long and gone ma’am, long and gone…

  14. MissTX85 Says:

@ Cyndy, that’s my point. Why even write a book when they could just tell(minister to) people if they really want to help?

And as far as paying tithes and offerings: Depending on where you are, most churches receive government issued grants to maintain their buildings. For the ones that don’t, well it’s the church and the money we give doesn’t go into the Pastor’s pocket but into the maintaining of the church, so THAT’S not a problem to me. Especially when I can see that being done.

  15. Cyndy Says:

    @ MissTX85, think about it:

There are millions of people in the USA alone. Billions in the world. That means that whoever the author or Pastor is, would have to preach this same message in DETAIL in countless cities and counties to get the CORRECT revelation or message out. Why not write a book and place the word in there and build a website that is accessible to EVERYONE and sell the book to get the message out?

It’s the same reason why most Pastors preach a message on Sunday morning and evening and then immediately offer it to the congregation that JUST heard the message, on tape or dvd, so that they will have the CORRECT message for their listening pleasure and to grow.

I read my word and trust GOD to reveal things to me also BUT also know that GOD has placed people in our lives for a reason, such as REVELATION. Think about how many people’s lives Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Pastor Creflo Dollar, Pastor Joel Osteen and Pastor Jamal Bryant have touched. They have television ministries for a reason. GOD has given them a MESSAGE and REVELATION that the world might not get unless THEY deliver it.

So I never underestimate the power and message that people bring to us.

  16. Cyndy Says:

    Another thing:

We can read the word all day and every day and still NEVER come out with any real REVELATION. GOD reveals his word to whom he will. Just like he chose Moses to speak to his people. He didn’t reveal himself to the children of Israel like he did Moses. There is a reason for that. GOD does what he wants and fulfills his own purpose which unless he reveals to us, we don’t know. Yes, anyone can be saved that calls on the name of JESUS, but even JESUS told his disciples that it was given to THEM to know the mysteries of GOD. So just reading the bible without revelation knowledge won’t accomplish everything we need.

  19. MissTX85 Says:

@ Cyndy, okay I see your point. But forgive me for being a pessimist(guess that’s the right term for this). LOL!

But I guess I’m just stuck on the fact that if you have questions and need answers, you should just go to God(pray). And that’s the problem with the world in my opinion. Folks don’t want to take the time out to get on their knees and talk to Him, so they’re stuck buying books, or watching pastors on TV hoping they’ll give them the answers they need. But not even going to your own pastor always helps because unless you already have a personal relationship with God, you’ll forever be lost. And there’s only ONE book, in my opinion, that will help you find your way.

Also, I don’t understand how a person could even believe the words out of the mouths of the people you mentioned. Unfortunately, I don’t see or here the sincerity. And I’m really not trying to hear or believe anything out anyone’s mouth who’s known for being on TV or having some huge church anyway.
