Vick Signs Back With Nike

Things are looking on the up-and-up for Mike Vick, as it is being reported that he has signed back with Nike.
Via ESPN:
NEW YORK — Michael Vick is back with Nike two years after the company severed ties over the quarterback’s involvement in a dogfighting ring.
“Mike has a long-standing, great relationship with Nike, and he looks forward to continuing that relationship,” his agent, Joel Segal, said Wednesday.
Segal would not reveal terms of the agreement. Nike, however, denied it had signed Vick to a sponsorship contract in a statement released to CNBC.
“Nike does not have a contractual relationship with Michael Vick,” Nike spokesman Kejuan Wilkins said in the statement to CNBC. “We have agreed to supply product to Michael Vick as we do a number of athletes who are not under contract with Nike.”
The supposed deal was announced during a panel discussion at the Sports Sponsorship Symposium by Michael Principe, the managing director of BEST, the agency that represents Vick.
Mediaoutrage- The media and PETA haters need to fall the f*ck back off of Vick’s nuts. Just cause he pulled the greatest 187 in dog fighting history doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be permitted the same second chance granted to most humans that murder other HUMANS.

About time some big company acting like they have a lil sense. They really acted as if this man Charlie Mansoned some people and got off free as a bird.. The man did his time let it go.

I am glad Vick is overcoming societies judgements. These people are crazy about some animals. For me I am all about the babies and children being neglected, physically and sexually abused and die at the hands of these monsters. Vick is no monster, pit bulls have been fighten for years over seas and shit the chinese kill and sell them on the markets in the streets. Everyone has a cause though to fight for, but leave the man alone. He did his time, now let him live and re-build his wealth.

NIke don’t really care what the world thinks. In the end people will still buy their shoes. They can and will sign whomever they want to a contract.

What NIKE is saying is that that they have a roster of athletes to whom they supply product (sneakers, apparel, training gear, etc.). However, these athletes do NOT have a contractual deal with NIKE, and the relationship lasts at the discetion of NIKE.
Hopefully, this will lead to bigger, and better things for Michael Vick.

@ ATL, it’s still pretty much what’s up top. They’re giving him the stuff but not really letting him endorse.
But I still don’t see what they’re worried about. Hell Nike pretty much sells itself! No matter who’s endorsing it!

I do not know the story but I heard he did something with dogs, hell I do not understand these people with dogs, in the hood a dog knew his place and did not shit all over the place and the same for cats. They ass stayed outside 24/7 and did not get no dog training and never went to no vet. I hope peta don’t get mad, hell I ate some wings yesterday
