MO spoke to a representative of Armand de Brignac Champagne aka “Ace of Spades.”
We wanted to know about the brand and their relationship with Jay-Z and why he constantly shouts them out. Here’s what they told us and some of it was surprising:
“There is no business arrangement in place between Armand de Brignac and Jay-Z. Actually, we have become friendly with his team BECAUSE of his support for the brand; for example his managers always contact us to find out where they can buy Armand de Brignac for him in whatever city he happens to be in on tour. We’re certainly honored to have such an influential person as a lover of our Champagne , but he certainly isn’t the only celebrity who drinks AdB – Roger Federer, Leonardo diCaprio, George Clooney, and LeBron James are all fans as well, among others.
One other thing you might care to note, in case you’re interested: Jay-Z actually coined the nickname “Ace of Spades” for our Champagne , and while is it not an official name for the brand, it certainly seems to have caught on!
Retail cost per bottle ultimately depends on the store, but our suggested retail price for a bottle of our Brut Gold is $300. Our Rosé and Blanc de Blancs are made in much small quantities, and have retail costs of around $500 each.”

Damn that’s wild that Jay’s not getting paid to endorse the brand. I personally thought that was the reason behind the constant plugs. He’s a trend-setter, so whatever he spits on wax most street dudes go out and try to immitate. “I made the yankees hat more famous than a Yankee could” lol gotta respect the dude.
I can remember when everyone was still rockin’ Jerseys. Every video every rapper and every street nigga had on Jerseys and then switched up to expensive throwback Jerseys.
