Bernard Hopkins is doing something very nice for the folks in his hometown city of Philadelphia. Just in time for the Holidays….
Tommorow Wednesday November 25, at 1:00 pm Bernard Hopkins will be giving away 500 turkeys to Philadelphia residents at the 35th District Police Station which is located at 5960 North Broad St. He is giving away the turkeys in honor of the 3 police officers that were slain this year in the city.
B-Hop also has a light heavyweight fight coming up in Philly on Wednesday Dec. 2 and info is below:
“Broad Street Brawl”: Hopkins vs. Ornelas, a 12-round light heavyweight bout which is presented by Golden Boy Promotions East and sponsored by MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be televised live on VERSUS beginning at 8:00 pm ET/ 5:00 pm PT. Doors open at 5:00 pm ET and the first bell rings at 6:00 pm ET.
TICKETS: Tickets priced at $200, $100, $75, $50 and $25, are on sale and available for purchase exclusively through ComcastTIX on line at ComcastTIX.com, by calling 1-800-298-4200 or in person at the Liacouras Center box office. Discounts are being offered to the following groups at the Liacouras Center Box Office: Veterans & Military:a 20% percent off to those with a current or past military identification (limit of 8 tickets per ID presented); Police & Fire Department Personnel: a 10% discount on all price categories (limit of 2 tickets per ID presented) and Students:a 10% discount on all tickets and $25 for $15 (limit of 2 tickets per ID presented).
CHARITY INFO: In addition to fighting for his fans, Hopkins will be fighting for charity as he has committed to donating one dollar from each ticket sold to three select charities. He should of done that long time ago and more often, not just for publicity to promote his upcoming fight in Philadelphia. Better late than never. I hope more financially secure celebrities do the same.

Not putting what he is doing down, but everybody wants to be all charitable when it comes to the holidays, but what about the other “non holiday” months?
