Gatorade becomes the first major endorser to part ways with Tiger Woods.

Gatorade has dropped Tiger Woods.
It’s the first major endorsement loss for the golfer in the wake of his cheating scandal and bizarre one-car crash.
Gatorade released a statement Tuesday saying the move to discontinue its “Tiger Focus” drink had nothing to do with the golfer’s growing scandal and that the decision was made before Tiger’s car crash and allegations of extra marital affairs.
In a statement to CNBC, Gatorade officials said: “We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010. We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon.”
Mediaoutrage- They can spin it whichever way they want, but we all know why they really dropped him.
UPDATE!: “Our partnership with Tiger does continue. Tiger and his family have our support as he works through his private matter.”

I thinks it is really dumb for anyone to drop endorsement for him cheating… i am not saying Tiger is right but he is still the greatest golf player there is. He got these endorsement because of his talent in the game of golf, true i think he should be held responsible for his actions, but that one is between him and his wife. Tiger will still clean swept the PGA’s and they know it. In a couple of days to months it will be someone else in the spotlight and the media is on to the next person. Go figure!

that sounded like some bull they just started his tiger focus brand. these companies needed to stop acting like these celebs aint people. if i was tiger’s publicist I’d have Nike and gatorade sponsor a sex tape having tiger break off all his jump offs…. how does he do it? I agree with what Mg is saying, but at the same time, he’s still a public figure. Companies don’t want a person endorsing their products when they have that type of drama surrounding them. True, him cheating is between him and his wife, but the world knows about it now, and the media is having a field day with it. This is just the beginning of him losing endorsments. And I think Gatorade is lying about dropping him before his scandal. They could have come up with a better lie than that.

I was thinking the same this as ITSURBOI. Just Spin that shit Gatorade. Make a commercial of Tiger on the top floor of a hotel with ten rooms lined up, Tiger has on a Towel, goes into a room, the camera starts rockin and you hear screams, he come out, grabs a bottle of Gatorade and into the next room. Let him Rock every trick in each room and after the last one he is primed for more, he tries to go back to the first room and you hear a tired woman ask for more recovery time. At that point Tiger turns around, holds up a bottle Gatorade, let out a thunderous roar and have a caption come across the screen and say “you can be a Tiger too” GATORADE!!!!
