Mediaoutrage.com had the opportunity to chop it up with Tahiry. She exploded onto the scene last year when ex-boyfriend Joe Budden’s video camera captured all of that Tribe of Judah (backyard!), for millions of YouTube junkies. Her figure is something men would cut their grandmom’s good arm off, to get next to. Anyway, Tahiry took the time to bust it up with us about a few interesting topics, one, being her favorite sexual position! MO: Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
Tahiry: I pretty much think they’re dumb because every year I used to say “I’ll start working out again, start eating better, but that never happened, so I’m just going to continue to do what I’ve been doing, and that’s stay fit.”
MO: Now when you burst onto the scene, it was kind of due to the video blogs that you and Joe (Budden) were making. Do you still record video blogs?
Tahiry: I don’t, but I will. I Hadn’t for a while, even before the breakup. I stayed away from the blogs for a little bit, but for 2010, I’ll be back.
MO: Will you be doing them just on YouTube, or will you have a site of your own?
Tahiry: I have Tahiryonline.com now, that’s under construction. I’m just building my brand and everything that you need to find out about Tahiry will be on Tahiryonline.com.
MO: Do you and Joe still speak even though you had a break-up?
Tahiry: No we don’t speak at all.
MO: Which sites do you frequent on the internet?
Tahiry: Hiphopdx.com, Allhiphop, 2dopeboyz.com, BOSSIP… I’m an internet soldier, remember, I lived with someone who lived on the internet. I also look at WorldStarHipHop, I’m on Thisis50.com quite frequently. I do look at Mediaoutrage.com. They be killin’ me on TheYbf. I don’t think they do (Natasha) but the readers be killin’ me in the comments. I’m pretty much all over the net.
MO: Do you still have a desire to do music videos?
Tahiry: Yes, I would definitely do music videos, but would just choose wisely. If it’s something that I feel I should do then I would, depending on the artist, the treatment and the record. I’m not that drop-it-like-it’s hot girl.
MO: How was it working with 50 Cent for the video?
Tahiry: It was awesome. Everybody knows he’s a pretty smart individual. He’s very down-to-Earth. He made me feel comfortable. I only had on panties and a bra top and had just met him that day, so I looked very comfortable on camera because he made me feel right at home.
MO: So you had never met 50 before?
Tahiry: No.
MO: Did 50 try to get at you?
Tahiry: No, we were cool.
MO: We all know you were bartending…
Tahiry: I’m still bartending.
MO: Oh you are?
Tahiry: Yes, I’m not doing it as much, but yes. I’m only working 2 and 3 days a week now or whenever I’m in New York.
MO: Do you have a celebrity crush?
Tahiry: Celebrity crush? Hmmm (Laughs). I’d rather keep that to myself (Laughs). I plead the 5th.
MO: Is the response men give you on the streets different from before? Or was the response always crazy regardless?
Tahiry: I don’t want to sound cocky. The response has always been the same, but, now there’s a name to the face.
MO: Would you be interested in doing reality tv?
Tahiry: Definitely, I actually have a deal on the table and my lawyers are going back and forth over it. We were supposed to start filming in January, so we’re going to see what happens with that.
MO: Now that you’re extremely recognizable, would you date a regular Joe?
Tahiry: I’m not very recognizable, just a little bit.
MO: No you’re very recognizable.
Tahiry: (Laughs)
MO: So now that you’re very recognizable, would you date a regular Joe?
Tahiry: I already dated a regular JOE (Laughs). Anyway, let me stop, that was a joke. I don’t think a regular Joe would be able to handle me right now. Would I ever date a regular Joe? I don’t know. In all actuality you just have to really be about your business. I don’t care what you do but you just have to handle your handle. You don’t have to be a lawyer, a ball player, or rapper but you just have to really be about your business and know how to treat a woman.
MO: Which rappers have tried to get at you since your break-up?
Tahiry: Wow. You know what, rappers have tried while I was in a relationship. I just won’t name them, so next question (Laughs).
MO: R&B tip: Alicia Keys or Beyonce? Whose music do you prefer?
Tahiry: Wow! Wow! That’s hard because I love them both. I have them both in my ipod.
MO: What are your measurements?
Tahiry: 34-27-43
MO: How do you deal with being a sex-symbol?
Tahiry: It’s definitely flattering to me. To me, it’s still surreal. I always got attention when I walked past, but now it’s on a different level. When people walk up and get excited and want to reach and touch, I still tear up, because deep down I’m like ‘it’s just me.’
MO: How was it posing for KING magazine?
Tahiry: It was awesome. It was my first photo-shoot. I really have respect for these video girls and models because it was a lot of work. But I would do it again in a heart-beat.
MO: How does it feel to be compared to Buffie The Body and Deelishis? You know, women that brothas just drool over.
Tahiry: (Laughs) It’s awesome. Anytime I’m mentioned in the same breath as some of these women that have been doing it for a really long time, it’s an honor.
MO: So what do you have going on right now and planned for the future?
Tahiry: Right now I’m taking acting classes. My website, Tahiryonline.com. The reality show. Merchandising and just building my brand. Hosting parties.
MO: What is your favorite position?
Tahiry: Wow! Umm…. my favorite… wow…. There’s actually two. Doggystyle, and it’s kind of akward, if I’m laying on my side with one leg up, where you can see my whole silloette (Laughs).
MO: How important in a relationship to you, is oral sex?
Tahiry: It’s very important. I enjoy giving it more than receiving it. You have to be really good for me to be like I want it all the time. So I’m more into giving, it’s very important. Sex is very important period. If the sex wasn’t good we would try to work it out but if we can’t work it out, then that would probably be a problem.
