Lil Wayne has something to crack a smile about. His album just went GOLD:

Lil Wayne’s seventh studio album Rebirth has officially been certified Gold (500,000 copies) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Despite numerous delays, the album managed to debut at #1 on Billboard’s Rap Album chart upon its release in February.
“I have evolved both lyrically and musically as an artist and I want everyone to hear my growing pains,” Lil Wayne said of the album, which he labeled his “best work yet.”
The latest singles from Rebirth are “Drop the World” featuring Universal label mate Eminem and “Knock Out” featuring his Young Money artist, Nicki Minaj.
Lil Wayne is currently serving a year-long prison sentence on Rikers Island, for attempted possession of a weapon in New York.

What the phuq is “attempted possession of a weapon” even tho the case is over and he’s serving is vacat………. time i find it hard to believe that they searched his tour bus and all they found was a handgun.

Golds really not that bad for him when you consider the fact that “The Carter III” went platinum in a week and is only triple, after what?, three years. A true downgrade was the sales on Will Smiths last two albums Big Willie style and that otha record.
