*As Nick Cannon continues to neither confirm nor deny that his wife Mariah Carey is pregnant, it hasn’t stopped the tabloids moving full steam ahead on the story.
The National Enquirer reported today that the couple is not only expecting, but Mariah is carrying twins.
An insider tells the publication, “Mariah is gushing that she’s going to have twins. Mariah and Nick both want a big family. And Carey has already begun to scale back her work commitments to prepare for motherhood, starting with Perry’s film.
Baby rumors have been following the Cannons since they got married two years ago, but talk went into overdrive after suddenly pulling out of Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.”
The source adds, “Mariah told her handlers that she’s taking an unofficial family time break, and she’s keeping her work load light for the rest of the year.”
Last year, the couple hired top designer Kenneth Bordewick to help style a nursery for the new Los Angeles-area home Carey and Cannon purchased.
Here’s what sensitive-ass Nick had to say regarding constant media speculation:
“I’m pretty sure that when my wife is ready to make any announcement it won’t be to the media, to the public, first. She’ll tell her family, she’ll tell her friends, and then, you know, when she’s ready to share with the rest of the world, who is her extended family and friends, then she’ll let everybody know.”
“My wife has been in this business for a long time and dealt with so many things, she knows how to handle herself. She’s a very, very strong woman, probably the strongest woman I know, and I love her dearly. So, when she tells me something, I’ll tell y’all, probably after I tell my mama.”
As for baby names, Nick explained, “We’re gonna do it like George Foreman. We’re gonna name all of our kids Mariah no matter if they’re boys or girls. … Mariah No. 1, Boy Mariah, Man Mariah, Tall Mariah. It’s gonna be a house full of people named Mariah.”

Just like I said yesterday..congrats and they will make great parents. Why is Nick making a big deal over whether she is pregnant or not and who she’s going to tell first..who gives a shit. As Ucanb2 said, time will tell.
