Denzel Washington & Will Smith to Star In Film Together???

Posted by Media Outrage on March 27th, 2011

Can it be? Two A-List blockbuster stars like Will Smith and Denzel Washington in a film together?

Peep game

*Power couple, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is gearing up to produce “Uptown Saturday Night.”

The production, a remake of the 1974  comedy that paired Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier, was developed back in 2002 and was originally scripted by Mark and Robb Cullen of “Cop Out.”

The story centers on two estranged friends who have their wallets stolen at a nightclub. The next morning, they learn that one of their wallets contained a winning lottery ticket, and together, they set out to find it.

Among the rumors floating around is that Will Smith will likely star in the film, along with Academy Award winner Denzel Washington.

If  Washington accepts the role, it will be his first full on comedy since 1990′s “Heart Condition” which only made $4 million.
