Serena was as healthy looking as Venus but she lost a ton of weight due to injuring her foot stepping on broken glass a few months ago. She then developed a serious bone infection in her foot and was not responding well to treatment. She was really sick and there was speculation she might lose her foot.
Have not read any updates lately but I assume she’s doing much better since she is out and about.
