WTF, “generic electro rap”? I expect a lot more from you/this site usually. What you call “generic electro rap” is pretty much the direct root of Miami Bass, as evidenced by 2 Live being from Cali. Look at how many bass songs sample “Egypt Egypt” (or the likes of that). Planet Rock -> LA electro -> Miami Bass (and yeah I know there are exceptions/glitches in that chronology, like Pretty Tony and stuff, but still …)
