Rev. Al Sharpton was a guest on Bill O’Reilly’s show last night and defended MJ’s legacy before millions. O’Reilly is an A-hole who really isn’t worth our time. His ratings on FoxNews are sky high because of some of the controversial and racist stances he takes. Peep the video of Al Sharpton telling it like it really is. Oh yea, Sharpton put that Congressman in NY on blast for dissin’ Mike. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday the world had its opportunity to really say goodbye to Michael Jackson. Family, friends, and fans alike paid tremendous tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time. Rev. Al Sharpton delivered one of the most heart-felt speeches we’ve ever heard during MJ’s memorial service. Sharpton reminded us of Michael’s humanitarian efforts. Sharpton reminded us of the countless barriers that Michael erradicated. Sharpton reminded us of the way Michael united an entire globe. Sharpton reminded us of how special Michael was. Sharpton thanked Michael and his family for the gift they gave the world. But most of all Sharpton addressed his children by saying “Wasn’t nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with….”
Al Sharpton did the damn thing. We were extremely proud of him. His words were so appropriate. Peep the video when you Read the rest of this entry »

Al Sharpton got it in on stage during the Michael Jackson tribute at the Apollo yesterday. What’s really good here? Why is he the official spokesperson for all black people? But more than that, why does it look like Bookman from Good Times is up there trying to bust a nut?

Bill Cosby got real dapper like and attended the 75 Anniversary of the Apollo. He and Camille swung through the event and took pictures with Ruby Dee. You have to love Bill for what he did for Television. Many think it’s not really important but his run on the Cosby show was one of the most positive portrayals of African Americans in the history of TV period. Jamie Foxx got his Ray Charles immitation on. The beautiful Phylicia Rashad was in the building. Oh and why is Prince like 3 foot 2?? Just enjoy the pics….

T.I., Al Sharpton, Ja Rule, Kevin Liles and Queen Pen (and her massive mammaries) took to the streets of NY on Monday for an Anti-Gun rally march and press conference. It’s really good to see them get involved in such a serious matter. The children really look up to him and it definitely means something for him to speak directly to them. Al Sharpton was looking as permed out as ever.

Whenever the heat of mass media outrage gets turned up then the culprits start rolling out meaningless apologies. The New York Post has issued an apology to “anyone they might have offended.” Al Sharpton’s still not feeling it because he says the apology is kind of attacking the ones they’re supposed to be sorry to.
Via NyTimes:
The New York Post, which was the subject of a protest outside its Midtown headquarters and continued criticism from elected officials on Thursday over the publication of an editorial cartoon that linked a chimpanzee to the economic stimulus package, has issued an apology “to those who were offended,” while maintaining that the cartoon was not intended to be racist.
The cartoon has been widely criticized as making an implicit comparison between the chimpanzee — a reference to a chimpanzee that was shot to death by a police officer in Connecticut on Monday after it brutally attacked a friend of its owner — and President Obama, who signed the stimulus package into law on Tuesday.
On Thursday evening, The Post published on its website the following editorial, which a spokeswoman said would also be published in its Friday print edition: Read the rest of this entry »

The New York Post cartoonist drew up this offensive image.
Via AHH:
The Reverend Al Sharpton has condemned a cartoon in today’s New York Post (February 18), which features two policemen shooting a monkey and making a comment on the recently passed stimulus package.
The imagery, created by cartoonist Sean Delonas, features two police officers, one holding a smoking gun over a blood-spattered monkey that has been shot two times.
The caption above the cartoon reads: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.” Read the rest of this entry »

Common skated over to Sky Line Studios in NYC last night to celebrate the Capsule Line with Softwear by Microsoft. Common and Biz Markie put on a performance for the crowd. Al Sharpton aka Bookman From Goodtimes looked like a 1930’s gangsta. BET’s Daniella, is looking pretty thick these days. Dawn Richard also showed her face.
