We’re not sure what’s going to feel ickier, the fact that Dennis Rodman is going to be holding tryouts for a topless women’s basketball team in New York City, or you after you finish reading the post. But the Basketball Hall of Famer will be trying out and coaching a team fielding exotic dancers from Headquarters Gentleman Club, in hopes of cobbling together a charity game against what appears to be another topless women’s basketball from a rival club.

Duty calls, apparently, for Rodman. As it does here at Ball Don’t Lie. Gross.

Here’s the lowdown:

The NBA bad boy dreamed up the team after hearing that rival strip joint Rick’s Cabaret launched a league with former Atlanta Hawk Spud Webb, who runs the Texas Legends, an NBA Development League team.

Rodman even is challenging Rick’s Cabaret’s topless team to a charity game.

“I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the court,” Rodman said.

Not really. I like a good looking woman running, walking, or standing just about anywhere. And while I’m not exactly innocent in frequenting these sorts of places in my lifetime, if you’re so desperate to see a topless woman that you’ll even take in a basketball game featuring 10 of them running up and down a court and (presumably) playing rather poorly, then it’s time to re-assess your life as we spark up the year 2012.

The whole thing is more sad than alluring, by a wide margin. As is the case for most of these topless clubs, and Rodman’s life (if we’re honest) over the last 13 years.

Dennis Rodman will go down as one of the greatest rebounders and defenders to ever play in the NBA. He was honored with a Hall Of Fame induction and gave a very emotional speech. Rodman won 2 championships with the Detroit Pistons in ’89, 90′ and three with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in ’96, ’97, and ’98. One of the great ones for sure!

Dennis Rodman who is never at a loss for ways to seek and gain attention from the media, celebrated his birthday in Las Vegas at the Sugar Factory. Dennis was also in Vegas celebrating the launch of his new cigar line. Dennis stop playing tho.

Dennis Rodman was ready to get it poppin’ over the mere mention of King James:

Dennis Rodman got real physical at a bar in Akron, Ohio earlier this week, TMZ has learned — allegedly shoving a local patron after the man uttered two unforgivable words … “LeBron James.”

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, the man in question — named Michael Douglas (NOT the actor) — stopped by a local bar after he heard Rodman was drinking there.

According to the report, Douglas walked up to Rodman and joked with him — asking if he was in town to check up on LeBron … and for some reason, Rodman flipped and shoved him back.

Douglas wasn’t injured — and as of now, police aren’t pursuing an investigation due to lack of evidence.

But it all must be news to the Worm — because Rodman’s rep tells us, “Dennis has no clue what this is about.”

Dennis Rodman says he doesn’t owe unlce Sam a got damn penny!

*Despite what state tax records say, Dennis Rodman says he don’t owe a dime.

It was recently revealed that the former NBA bad boy on the court (and especially off) owed the state of California more than $42,000 and was issued a lien.

“It’s got to be incorrect,” said Rodman business manager Peggy King. She said Rodman recently received a refund check from the state “for $42,000 or $43,000.”

If his accountant is right, he will be wiped away from the long list of celebrities who are currently dealing with money issues on the state and federal levels

The Detroit Pistons will retire Dennis Rodman’s jersey on April 1 during a half-time ceremony. Ironically the Pistons will face the Chicago Bulls whom Rodman also won championships with from ’96-’98 with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

Rodman made his name as a hard-nosed rebounder and excellent defender during his years with the Detroit Pistons in which they won back-to-back championships from ’89-’90. Rodman led the league in rebounding several years during his tenure with the Pistons, Spurs and Bulls. We definitely regard Rodman as one of the greatest rebounders and low post defenders this league has ever witnessed.

Dennis Rodman is over in Tokyo, Japan ballin in the “Street2Elite.”  Take notice at the painted fingernails, multiple piercings, countless tattoos and tells us you wouldn’t give him the draws ladies.  Lol.  More of The Worm awaits…

Dennis Rodman was involved in a car accident this weekend which saw his green Range Rover flip over 3 times:

TMZ has learned Dennis Rodman was involved in a terrible car accident this weekend — in which his car flipped three times — but walked away with just a scratch on his finger.

Sources close to Dennis tell TMZ the former NBA star was the passenger in a green Range Rover traveling on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, FL … when one of the tires blew out. We’re told the car flipped three times and Dennis had to be pulled from the car by a few good Samaritans who had stopped to help.

We’re told the people who helped pull Dennis out of the wreckage later asked for autographs … but Rodman politely declined.

Rodman’s friend was transported to a local hospital and treated for head injuries.
