Last night the 40th NAACP Image Awards kicked off at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Keshia Knight Pulliam hit the carpet showing a little sexy thigh. Sanaa Lathan, Rosario Dawson, Alfre Woodard, Chandra Wilson, Cicely Tyson, Mo’Nique, Lisa Raye, Tia Mowry, Russell Simmons, Tichina Arnold, Omarosa, Wendy Raquel Robinson and lots more attended the event.

Malinda Williams attended the 3rd Annual Black Girls Rock in the NYC. Kenya Moore, Regina King, Pam Grier, Estelle, Teyana Taylor, Iman, Estelle, and Erykah Badu were all on hand for the festivities. Pam Grier is still foxy.

Chris Webber kicked off his Bada Bling Gala at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas this past weekend. A few familiar faces attended the gala with their mates in tow. The BET Awards popped off last night. Everyone and they great grandmom was in the place for the festivities. In our opinion everyone who strolled the red carpet was up to par fashion wise maybe with the exception of a very few. We’ll let you dish out the names of those who deserved to be written fashion tickets for violating the fashion laws and doing they own ish. We must say that MC Lyte did the bomb job as the MC of the night.

SandraRose is reporting that the above picture of Kenya Moore and the unnamed guy who we titled ‘lucky bastard’ is not a real wedding picture well at least not their’s (a lot of guys can put those Kenya Moore posters up again…hold on ok our’s is back up) anyway.
She is saying that this picture and the rumor that even we reported is false, and Kenya Moore did not jump the broom in a Caribbean wedding. (Yes! with the Michael Jordan fist pump!) She is saying that the Kenya Moore is starring in a movie called “Haitian Nights” currently being filmed in LA and Haiti.
Here is the press release:
“Kenya will play the role of Nadine Casey, a beautiful and accomplished MBA who has developed her own cosmetics line. She captures the heart and eye of Rudolph Lézard, a high-powered and successful Haitian American Attorney and business man. Once married, Nadine discovers Rudolph was unfaithful during their courtship with the daughter of a Voodoo Priest. Although kind, strong, and compassionate, Nadine’s love for Rudolph is tested as she battles for her life and her love for her new husband when they try to destroy the couple.Director Marc Cayce adds, “I’ve been trying to get Miss Moore on one of my films for years now. As our leading lady, Kenya brings a certain unexpected refinement and dignity to the character and to the film. She has fierce drive and determination to take direction well and make great choices that drive the character. She loves creating many complicated and interesting layers for her role. I believe this project will really highlight how much she has grown as an actor. She’s amazing!”

The beautiful Kenya Moore placed a neon “NO CHANCE IN HELL” sign on a lot of men’s hopes, dreams, and fantasies this weekend when she got married in the Caribbean to this guy who’s name we don’t know yet so we will refer to him as very very very very “Lucky Bastard”. Congrats to Kenya and her new husband.
