Eddie Murphy came out and denied the rumors circulating that he’s romantically involved with Toni Braxton…

Eddie Murphy has denied reports that he is dating “Another Sad Love Song” singer Toni Braxton.

When asked if he had a new paramour, Murphy told “Access Hollywood” in an interview last night, “I don’t even know who the new love is. I know I’m single and I’m just up at the house, playing the guitar and being a single dad.”

When asked specifically about reports that he and Braxton were “getting very serious,” Murphy said the rumors aren’t true.

“Toni and I are just friends,” Murphy claimed. “I went to her show, and we’re friends and she’s a very, very sweet girl, but we’re just friends.”

Murphy also took a moment to give his thoughts on the 84th annual Academy Awards, which he was slated to host until his pal and “Tower Heist” director Brett Ratner pulled out of producing the event after making a homophobic comment during a press conference.

“It’s still something that I would like to do one day, because all the best comics have done it,” said Murphy of the awards show. “It’s one of the few things I haven’t done in my 35 years in this business, so I would like to have that be part of my resume as well … If they ask me again, maybe I’ll do it.”

Toni Braxton and ya boy Eddie Murphy have been an item for the past few months y’all…

The singer, 44, and comic actor, 50, “are seeing each other and very into it,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the romance started up four months ago.

The Tower Heist star — who has eight kids from previous relationships — even cheered on the mother of two (who’s been separated from singer Keri Lewis since 2009), backstage at her Feb. 19 L.A. concert.

While Braxton’s rep insists “Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other’s work for a long time,” the insider says, “Their kids have met and everything. It’s getting very serious.”

In addition to first wife Nicole Mitchell, Murphy dated former Spice Girl Melanie Brown from 2006 to 2007, and exchanged marital vows with Tracey Edmonds in 2008 in a “symbolic” ceremony that was never made legal. Back in the late 1980s, Murphy was linked to another big-voiced R&B superstar: the late Whitney Houston.

Braxton’s search for love after her split from Lewis was a major plot point in the most recent season of her reality show Braxton Family Values.

Toni Braxton is on her way to losing another home to foreclosure:

*If ain’t one thing, it’s another for Toni Braxton. Her finances have been in trouble for a long time now and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. The R&B singer is now facing foreclosure on her Georgia home.

Court papers show that she is now no longer protected from the very lenders she was attempting to hide from when she filed Chapter 7 in September.

Since the lifting of the shield, US Bank is back on her tail and says she owes the bank the full $1.5 million on the mortgage.

The bank argued the singer has no equity on the house and that she doesn’t even own the property, a trust does.

So it is likely Braxton will have to vacate the property soon.
